Packers legend Brett Favre will be in Waukesha on June 10th
WAUKESHA -- Green Bay Packers legend Brett Favre says he'll be in Waukesha on Friday, June 10th.
Favre tweeted on Tuesday, June 7th that he'll be at Waukesha Sportscards at 6:00 p.m. Friday for a signing to benefit Favre4 Hope.
According to the Favre4Hope Foundation's website, in 1995, Brett and Deanna Favre began their charity outreach by donating to 501c3 agencies providing support and services to disadvantaged and disabled children in Mississippi and Wisconsin. In 2005, after Deanna completed her treatment for breast cancer, the Favres extended their mission statement to include supporting organizations providing financial aid for breast cancer patients.
Since the inception of the Foundation, over $7 million dollars has been donated to charities in Wisconsin and Mississippi.
Favre will be back in Wisconsin in the coming months -- taking part in the Trek 100 Ride for Hope on June 11th, which starts and finishes at the Trek Bicycle company in Waterloo.
On September 17th, there will be a special dinner on the field at Miller Park to honor Favre and his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame which is set for August 6th in Canton, Ohio.
