Police want to know: Who flew a drone over Camp Randall Stadium during Saturday's Badgers game?
MADISON (AP) — Police want to know who flew a drone over Camp Randall Stadium during the Wisconsin Badgers' game last Saturday, October 11th in Madison.
University of Wisconsin police are working with federal aviation officials to identify the pilot of the drone seen hovering during the "Jump Around" between the third and fourth quarters.
The Federal Aviation Administration says airspace above a football stadium is a non-fly zone an hour before kickoff until an hour after the final whistle. The FAA has reprimanded photographers who have flown drones over occupied stadiums elsewhere.
Police Lt. Ruth Ewing tells the State Journal (http://bit.ly/1qVO2l4 ) no one asked for, or received permission for an exception to FAA rules.
