Badgers fans react after Rose Bowl loss

PASADENA, Calif -- The Wisconsin Badgers took on Stanford in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on New Year's Day -- Tuesday, January 1st, 2013. Stanford was able to defeat the Badgers 20-14. 

The Wisconsin Badgers left Madison on Christmas Day to head to Pasadena, California to prepare for the big game. The Badgers’ blow out win against Nebraska got them into their third straight Rose Bowl.

The Badgers (8-5, 4-4 Big Ten) were the first team to reach the Rose Bowl with five losses, and the first Big Ten team to make it in three straight years since Michigan in the late 1970s.

Barry Alvarez coached the team for the Rose Bowl game, after Bret Bielema left the team to coach at the University of Arkansas.

New Badgers coach Gary Andersen was on the sidelines, observing the game.

The Badgers are now 0-3 in Rose Bowl games.
