MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The NBA season is about to get underway, and Milwaukee Bucks fans say they're experiencing a new level of excitement hundreds gathered in Milwaukee on Monday, October 27th to support the team.
The team's motto is "Own the Future," and that's the plan as the buzz continues to build around Bucks basketball.
"It feels great! The vibe is just awesome," Bucks fan Nicole Bedner said.
On Monday, hundreds filled the Chrome Ballroom at the Harley-Davidson Museum as the Milwaukee Bucks held their 2014-2015 preview luncheon.
"Thank you for your support as we move forward into this very bright future," Bucks General Manager John Hammond told the crowd.
Fans and players alike say they're pumped for the upcoming season.
"We`re just excited about the new owners, new team, new coach, new draft pick," Bucks fan C.J. Papara said.
"I think we`re tired of playing against each other, so now we finally get to go against someone else. I think we got a little butterflies. I mean, we haven`t played since April. We`ve had a long training camp. We`ve had a long preseason," Bucks Forward Jared Dudley said.
"The excitement about the young team, about the new owners, the possibility of a new arena, I think it`s all going in the right direction," Bucks Head Coach Jason Kidd said.
When it comes to that new arena, Bucks officials say it's still something that's under discussion.
"We are investigating some sites. We are exploring. We will pick a site, as they know. It`ll take us some time," Bucks President Peter Feigin said.
Feigin emphasizes that the search for the site of the team's new venue is an active one, and one which requires some patience on everyone's part.
We're told Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry will be in Milwaukee on Tuesday, and he'll reportedly announce the team is moving its front office to Schlitz Park.
