MILWAUKEE -- During a season when very little has gone right, the Milwaukee Brewers managed to tie the Minnesota Twins in the 9th inning, only to lose 6-5 in 14 frames Tuesday night at Miller Park.
Starting his first major league game in 3 years, Alfredo Figaro gave manager Ron Roenicke 5 innings; he allowed 4 runs on 3 homers.
Aramis Ramirez started the scoring for the hosts with a 2-run double in the 4th inning; Jonathan Lucroy's two-bagger made it 4-3.
In the 5th, Ryan Braun's triple scored Jean Segura, who tied a Brewers franchise record with 6 hits in 7 at bats.
Segura's rbi single in the 9th inning sent the game to extras, tied at 5.
But the Twins broke through with a sacrifice fly off reliever Burke Badenhop in the 14th inning for the victory.
The 19-30 Crew have lost 20 of their last 25 games; they completed a 2-6 home stand.
The two teams open a 2 game series in Minnesota, Wednesday night.
