UW Badgers shot down at Iowa
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- When Iowa came to the Kohl Center and beat Wisconsin on New Year's Eve, it seemed like a stunning upset. On Thursday night, the Hawkeyes completed a season sweep with a 67-66 victory over Bo Ryan's 16th ranked squad.
Behind the career-high 33 point performance of Matt Gatens, the host took control early and often and led by double digits. As usual, the Badgers fought back but could never get over the hump.
Josh Gasser and Ryan Evans topped UW with 14 points apiece. The Badgers have to finish the season at No. 8 Ohio State on Sunday.
