World Series pits Cardinals versus Red Sox, begins Wednesday
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The 2013 World Series pits the St. Louis Cardinals against the Boston Red Sox -- and you'll see the entire thing play out only on FOX6.
Game one of the series will be played on Wednesday, October 23rd at Fenway Park in Boston.
Boston earned the right to play in the fall classic after defeating the Detroit Tigers 5-2 in game six of the National League Championship Series on Saturday, October 19th. The game changer in this game was the grand slam home run by Boston's Shane Victorino in the 7th inning. That put Boston up for good.
St. Louis locked in its spot in the World Series with a six-game defeat of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
