Storm reports
The National Weather Service (NWS) defines a Preliminary Local Storm Report (LSR) as a text product that provides information about a specific weather event. The LSR includes information such as: Hail size, Wind gust or damage, Tornadoes, Wintery precipitation types and amounts, and Rainfall amounts.
Reports remain preliminary until they are certified locally and nationally which then gets ingested into NWS Storm Data.
