Board votes to endorse plan to end 0.1% Miller Park stadium tax by March 2020

MILWAUKEE -- The board that oversees the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park District voted Tuesday, March 12 to endorse a plan to end the Miller Park stadium tax by March 2020.In February, FOX6 told you about a bipartisan group of lawmakers (12 senators and 17 representatives from both parties led by Senator Tim Carpenter) calling for the tax to sunset by the end of 2019.The 0.1 percent sales and use tax was enacted in 1996.

'Awful:' Traffic backups cause thousands of Ed Sheeran fans to miss part of Milwaukee concert

Snow Patrol to open Ed Sheeran show at Miller Park

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers announced Snow Patrol will perform ahead of the rescheduled Ed Sheeran concert at Miller Park on Wednesday, Oct. 24.The Ed Sheeran concert is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. with all doors to Miller Park opening at 5:30 p.m.The change was made by the Brewers and Messina Touring Group to accommodate tour load-in and setup following Game 7 of the National League Championship Series.All tickets issued for the original date of Oct. 23 will be honored for admission to the show on Oct. 24.
