Brewers extend safety netting at Miller Park ahead of Opening Day

MILWAUKEE -- In an effort to increase safety for baseball fans, Miller Park has installed some additional netting.The team added netting that starts at the corner of both dugouts that connects with the netting that was already behind the plate.PHOTO GALLERYIt's added protection for fans foul balls and any flying bats.Last year, a fan was severely injured when she was in the face by a foul ball.

Miller Park tax will sunset sometime between 2018 and 2020

MILWAUKEE -- The Miller Park tax will sunset sometime between 2018 and 2020.Stadium District Executive Chairman Mike Duckett said in an interview with the Milwaukee Business Journal that it will probably end in 2019.However, he was quick to point out that he cannot confirm the 2019 prediction because there are too many variables involved.The tax has been collected since 1996 to pay for the $290 million construction debt plus interest for the stadium.CLICK HERE for more on this story via the Milwaukee Business Journal.

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers announced plans on Wednesday, January 27th for several new additions at and around Miller Park this season.Among the additions, the Brewers will unveil an old-school “Brewers Treat Truck” sponsored by Meijer – an authentic ice cream truck which will visit local neighborhoods and Brewers tailgaters to provide free ice cream from Meijer all summer long.Also, at every Sunday home game at Miller Park, all kids (14 and under) will eat free!
