MILWAUKEE -- The Admirals busted out for four goals in the second period to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 5-2 advantage on their way to a 6-3 win against the Grand Rapids Griffins Sunday afternoon, March 19th at Panther Arena.Anthony Richard led charge in the second period, picking up a Gordie Howe hat trick (a goal, an assist, and a fight) during the middle frame alone.The win was even more impressive give it was the Admirals third game in as many days and the team had to travel seven hours to Des Moines, IA each of the last two nights.Marek Mazanec stopped 28 shots to earn his 21st win of the season and came within a couple of feet of becoming the first Admiral goalie in 12 years to score a goal when he's full-ice shot with a Grand Rapids empty net trickled just wide.The Griffins got on the board early when Eric Tangradi scored on a wrister from the right circle 3:31 into the game.The Ads leveled the score on Matt White's 13th goal of the year with 2;43 to play in the first.

Mazanec shines in Admirals 2-1 win vs. Wild

Marek Mazanec stopped 25 shots to earn his 20th win of the season, while Justin Florek and Pontus Aberg provided the offense as the Admirals took a 2-1 win over the Iowa Wild on Friday night at Panther Arena.The win was the second in a row for Milwaukee and got the team off on the right foot as they face a three-game-in-three night stretch this weekend.The Admirals opened the scoring at the 7:03 mark of the opening period on Florek's second goal in as many games.

Admirals happy as pi with 4-3 win over IceHogs

ROCKFORD, Illinois -- Pontus Aberg scored two goals, including the winner in overtime, to lead the Milwaukee Admirals to a 4-3 win over the Rockford IceHogs Tuesday night at BMO Harris Bank Center.Aberg scored the game-winner with 10.8 seconds left in overtime.

MILWAUKEE -- Adorned in Slap Shot themed jerseys to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the movie, Vladislav Kamenev picked up his first career hat trick and the Admirals scored the final four goals of the game to take a 6-3 win over the Charlotte Checkers on Friday night at Panther Arena.Down by two in the second period, Justin Kirkland finished the Admirals comeback with his fifth goal of the year to earn the game-winner with just 1:53 left in the game.For the second straight game the Ads fell behind early, this time giving up a goal to Valentin Zykov just 1:21 into the game.However, just like the game before, it didn't take the Ads long to level the sccore as Kamenev converted on the power-play at the 8:38 mark of the opening frame.

Admirals fall to IceHogs in OT, 3-2

MILWAUKEE -- The Admirals earned a point with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Rockford IceHogs on Friday night at Panther Arena.Sam Carrick scored the game-winner for Rockford with a wrister from the left circle with just 24 seconds to play in the extra session.After the IceHogs jumped out to an early lead on a Brandon Mashinter goal just 1:45 into the game, Matt White leveled the score while Rockford goalie Jeff Glass was pulled out of position trying to play the puck and White was able to find the loose biscuit and easily beat Glass for his 10th goal of the season.Milwaukee extended the lead to 2-1 on Adam Payerl's goal with just under ten minutes to play in the first.

Admirals frightened by Cleveland Monsters, drop 4-1 decision

MILWAUKEE -- Derek Army scored the lone goal for the Admirals as they dropped a 4-1 decision to the Cleveland Monsters on Tuesday night, February 7th at Panther Arena.Cleveland goalie Anton Forsberg was impressive in net, stopping 38 shots, including 30 in the final two periods alone.Cleveland struck first as Sonny Milano got loose for a breakaway while the Ads were on the power-play and went high-stick side to beat Milwaukee netminder Marek Mazanec for a 1-0 lead just under five minutes into the game.Monsters goals by Oliver Bjorkstrand and Milano just 69 seconds apart gave them a 3-0 with 4:47 to play in the opening stanza.Bjorkstrand picked up his second of the night 3:34 into the second period giving the Monsters a four-goal lead.The Admirals got on the board when Derek Army crashed hard to the net and chipped the puck by  Forsberg.

Fiala, Aberg each score 2 as Admirals top Griffins 5-4

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Kevin Fiala and Pontus Aberg scored two goals each to lead the Milwaukee Admirals to a 5-4 win over the Grand Rapids Griffins Saturday night at Van Andel Arena.The win snapped a 10-game losing streak for the Admirals in Grand Rapids.

Gaudreau nets hat trick in Admirals OT victory over IceHogs, 4-3

MILWAUKEE -- Freddy Gaudreau tallied his second career hat trick and Alex Carrier provided the game winner as the Admirals took a 4-3 OT win over Rockford on Friday night at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.Carrier cleaned up the rebound of a Pontus Aberg shot and backhanded it into an open net for his sixth goal of the season and second in OT.His heroics were necessary when Spencer Abbot scored for Rockford with an extra attacker in place of the goalie with just 57 seconds to play in the game.The Admirals got off to a quick start when Gaudreau notched his seventh goal of the year just 59 seconds into the game.
