MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office deputy sheriff escaped injury Thursday morning, Jan. 31 while conducting a crash investigation on I-794 northbound near Carferry Drive.The deputy sheriff's unoccupied squad was struck by a vehicle after the deputy sheriff exited to conduct a field interview.Again, the deputy sheriff wasn't hurt.The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating this incident.

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee County deputy sheriff was taken to the hospital after a crash Saturday morning, Jan. 26.According to officials, the deputy sheriff was conducting a crash investigation on Highway 175 southbound just after 8 a.m., when a vehicle headed southbound struck a second vehicle, injuring the deputy sheriff.The deputy sheriff was transported to the hospital for treatment.

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee man convicted of his third OWI offense in February was charged with his fourth after an arrest in late December.Andrew Dixon, 36, of Milwaukee faces one count of OWI, fourth offense (a felony), one count of operating a motor vehicle while revoked and one count of disorderly conduct, penalty enhancer.According to a criminal complaint, on Dec. 30, around 12:30 a.m., a deputy observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on I-43 NB at National Avenue.

MILWAUKEE -- A 45-year-old woman is being hospitalized after nearly overdosing on heroin while driving along Highway 100 on Friday, Dec. 21.According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a call regarding a sick driver on the I-94 WB ramp towards Highway 100 in the Zoo Interchange around 2:15 p.m. A silver Dodge Ram was in the right emergency lane, and the driver outside of the car said the passenger was not breathing.A deputy checked the woman's pulse and found she was not breathing.
