4 months in HOC for man prosecutors say 'forgot he had a pistol on him,' which 'went off' inside squad

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee man charged in connection with a shots fired incident that shut down I-43/94 northbound at Becher in June has been sentenced to four months in the House of Correction.Marquel Hinkle, 31, pleaded guilty in August to two misdemeanors, carrying a concealed weapon and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.He was sentenced to serve four months in the House of Correction on each count, to be served concurrently.According to the criminal complaint, authorities were called to the area near 4th and Lapham around 11 a.m. on June 12 for reports of shots fired.

Weapons recovered following shots fired at Dineen Park & traffic stop

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office on Friday, Aug. 10 released pictures from two separate incidents that occurred last Thursday night, Aug. 9 and early Friday morning, Aug. 10 involving shots fired and a traffic stop.The first incident happened Thursday night, Aug. 10 just before 10:30 p.m. at Dineen Park.

'Absolutely unacceptable:' Sheriff's officials investigate graffiti at Greenfield Park as hate speech

WEST ALLIS -- Officials with the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office are investigating graffiti discovered at Greenfield Park as hate speech.According to a news release from sheriff's officials, on Saturday night, July 28, around 10:30 p.m., a deputy on patrol responded to a call from the park, located near 124th and Lincoln in West Allis, regarding criminal damage to property.
