MILWAUKEE -- The office of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, who has the power to overrule the 11 directives handed down for Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales in a special session Monday evening, July 20 by the Fire and Police Commission said Tuesday, "We are reviewing the directives and their intent at this time.”"A chief given a directive, and must implement directive unless overruled by mayor," said FPC Executive Director Griselda Aldrete during Monday's special session.CLICK HERE for the signed list of directives released by the FPC.The 11 directives are as follows:

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in an armed robbery that occurred at a business near 85th and Brown Deer Road on Wednesday, July 15.Officials say suspect #1 entered the business around 5:30 p.m., brandished a gun, demanded, and obtained property.

MPD: 43-year-old extricated from vehicle, struck 2 parked cars in Bay View

MILWAUKEE -- A 43-year-old man was injured in an auto accident in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood on Tuesday morning, July 21.Police said the man, who was driving, struck two parked cars near Superior and Estes around 7:20 a.m. The man was extricated from his vehicle and sustained non-life-threatening injuries; he was taken to the hospital for treatment.The circumstances leading to the accident remain under investigation.

FPC issues 11 directives for Chief Morales with deadlines; noncompliance could mean firing

The Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission in a special session Monday, July 20 issued 11 directives for Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales -- with every member of the commission voting in favor of requiring the chief to comply with the directives or face disciplinary action including suspension, demotion or firing. The chief and his team said they will comply to the best of their ability to those directives they find legitimate and warranted.

Man wanted in fatal Neenah shooting arrested in Milwaukee

NEENAH, Wis. — Authorities have arrested a man sought in a fatal shooting in Neenah last month.Neenah Police Chief Aaron Olson said Saturday that U.S. marshals and Milwaukee police arrested Donald Lee Billings, 34, of Milwaukee Friday in Milwaukee.

Police investigate 3 non-fatal shootings; 3 injured

MILWAUKEE -- Police are investigating three shootings that left three people injured in Milwaukee.The first shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 18 near 15th Street and North Avenue, where police said the victim was walking when shots were fired and he was subsequently struck.A 26-year-old man from Milwaukee sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
