We Energies: More than 3,000 customers without power

Wauwatosa Fire Department: "No gas leak was found at Children's Hospital"

MILWAUKEE -- The Wauwatosa Fire Department along with We Energies were called out to the area near Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Wednesday morning, January 18th for reports of a possible gas leak.Wauwatosa fire officials tell FOX6 News they received a call after someone smelled gas in a parking structure at the hospital.When fire crews arrived on scene, they determined that there was no gas leak at the hospital or nearby areas.

Wisconsin's high electricity rates spark industry warnings

MADISON — Wisconsin regulators are being warned that the state's high electric rates could spark some of its big manufacturers to move or expand elsewhere.A report approved by the Wisconsin Public Service Commission last month says the state's average electric rates are highest among eight Midwest states for the first time since 2006.The Wisconsin State Journal reports that comments submitted in response to that report say those rates make it hard for industries to remain competitive.

Wisconsin Center evacuated after fire in underground cable under 6th Street downtown

MILWAUKEE -- The Wisconsin Center in downtown Milwaukee was evacuated Tuesday afternoon, August 2nd due to a fire in an underground cable under 6th Street and subsequent power outage. 700 people were inside the Wisconsin Center at the time.Officials with the Milwaukee Fire Department said there was a build up of smoke and pressure, which blew off two manhole covers.

We Energies: More than 4,000 without power after second round of storms Thursday

SOUTHEAST WISCONSIN -- Thousands of customers were without power after storms pushed through southeastern Wisconsin Thursday, July 21st.At the height of the outages from storms Thursday morning, more than 16,000 We Energies customers were without power.Around 5:00 p.m., We Energies officials had restored all of the outages from the morning storms.However, following the second round of storms Thursday evening, more were without power.As of 10:00 p.m., there were 147 outages affecting 4,642 customers.Anyone can monitor the outages in southeast Wisconsin with the We Energies Outage Map.
