Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo reach agreement on contract extension

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Bucks have reached an agreement with Giannis Antetokounmpo on a contract extension, General Manager John Hammond announced on Monday, September 19th.The contract will be finalized at a press conference Tuesday afternoon.The Buck says Antetokounmpo, 21, appeared in 80 games (79 starts) last season and averaged career highs in points (16.9), rebounds (7.7), assists (4.3), blocks (1.4) and minutes (35.3).

Milwaukee Bucks exercise contract options on four key players

MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Bucks have exercised the third-year contract options on Tyler Ennis and Jabari Parker, and the fourth-year contract options on Giannis Antetokounmpo and Michael Carter-Williams.Antetokounmpo, 20, appeared in 81 games (71 starts) last year during his sophomore campaign and averaged 12.7 points with 6.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 blocks in 31.4 minutes per contest.

Bucks comeback in New Orleans falls just short

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Anthony Davis had 20 points and 12 rebounds, and the New Orleans Pelicans held off the Milwaukee Bucks, 85-84 on Tuesday night.Davis, who shoots around 55 percent, hit only 6 of 18 shots, but made 8 of 9 free throws and hit a clutch 15-footer that gave New Orleans an 85-82 lead with 1:07 left.The lead held up by the narrowest of margins when Ersan Ilyasova's 3-point attempt at the final horn hit rattled off the inside of the rim twice before bouncing out — much to the relief of the Pelicans, who moved back into the Western Conference's final playoff spot with the victory.Ilyasova and Giannis Antetokounmpo each scored 15 for Milwaukee, while Jerryd Bayless and John Henson each scored 14.Quincy Pondexter hit five 3-pointers and finished with 18 points for New Orleans, while Omer Asik had 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Bucks battle back but Atlanta Hawks fly by 97-86
