A 19-year-old man accused of buying a gun for Kyle Rittenhouse pleaded not guilty in Kenosha County court on Tuesday, May 25.

Kyle Rittenhouse, the Illinois man accused of killing two people during the chaotic protests that followed the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin, was due Friday to make his first in-person court appearance.

The trial for an 18-year-old from Illinois accused of killing two people and wounding a third during a protest against police brutality in Wisconsin was pushed back Wednesday by seven months and could be delayed even longer.

Prosecutors asked a judge for a new arrest warrant for Kyle Rittenhouse after he apparently violated his bond conditions, charged with shooting three people, killing two of them, during a protest in Wisconsin.

The unrest in Kenosha sparked by the police shooting of Jacob Blake in August 2020 has prompted a number of criminal investigations -- including at the federal level.

Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian sat down with FOX6's Ben Handelman for a one-on-one conversation to talk about the path forward.
