GRENFIELD -- The Greenfield Police and Fire Commission unanimously appointed Captain Jay Johnson as Police Chief for the City of Greenfield on Thursday, April 4.Chief Johnson started with City of Greenfield as a police officer in March of 1992.

'Technology is evolving:' Greenfield PD implements body cameras as survey shows majority support

GREENFIELD -- Almost all the Wisconsin residents polled by a police advocacy group say they want officers to wear body cameras, although few departments use them.Wisconsin Public Radio reports that 94 percent of 400 respondents to the Wisconsin Professional Police Association's 2018 phone survey said were in favor of requiring law enforcement officers to wear body cameras.FOX6 News on Monday, April 1 talked with Greenfield police -- in the process of implementing body cameras.

Police: 2 taken into custody following police pursuit in Greenfield

GREENFIELD -- Two people were taken into custody early Thursday morning, March 28 following a police pursuit in Greenfield.The pursuit began around 1:10 a.m. after officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation near 76th Street and Forest Home Avenue.

Caught on dashcam: Greenfield police pursuit ends with PIT manuever

GREENFIELD -- Greenfield police released dashcam video of a pursuit that took place early Friday, Jan. 18.Officials say an officer tried to stop a vehicle for a speeding and registration violation in the area of Howard and Forest Home around 12:35 a.m. The vehicle took off -- and the officer pursued.Officers stopped the vehicle using a tire deflation device (stop sticks) and a PIT maneuver.Two adults arrested.
