West Allis SWAT Team executes search warrant near 27th and Chambers in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- A West Allis SWAT Team executed a search warrant in Milwaukee on Wednesday afternoon, May 15.Several officers in tactical gear were seen surrounding a home near 27th Street and Chambers Street.The Milwaukee Fire Department and ambulance were called to the scene.PHOTO GALLERYWest Allis police said they were assisting other agencies when executing the search warrant.

West Allis police seek driver in hit-and-run that left 73-year-old with life-threatening injuries

WEST ALLIS -- West Allis police are seeking the driver of a vehicle that struck a 73-year-old pedestrian Friday night, April 26 near 58th and Mitchell -- leaving the pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.It happened just before 11:30 p.m.Police said the vehicle was headed eastbound on Mitchell Street and fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian, who was taken to the hospital.The vehicle was described by police as a light-colored sedan, possibly silver, possibly a two-door vehicle, with chrome wheels.

WEST ALLIS -- West Allis police are asking for the public's help to identify a suspect wanted for robbery of a CVS Pharmacy near 76th and Oklahoma.Police say on March 29, a female suspect entered the CVS, implied she had a weapon, and got away with cash.Authorities describe the suspect as a female, Hispanic, about 25-35 years old, with shoulder-length reddish hair.

WEST ALLIS -- West Allis police need your help identifying a woman who stole items from Burlington Coat Factory.It happened at the store near 68th and Greenfield on April 6.Police described the thief as a woman, black, between the ages of 35 and 45, standing about 5'8" tall with a thin build and long, black hair.She fled in a silver 2015 Nissan Altima four-door sedan with Florida license plates which had been reported stolen through the Milwaukee Police Department.Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers at 414-476-CASH to remain anonymous.
