5 seriously hurt in crash on I-43 northbound at WIS 60 in Ozaukee County

OZAUKEE COUNTUY -- All northbound lanes were temporarily closed on I-43 at WIS 60 Thursday, Sept. 6 due to a crash, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).WisDOT announced the lanes were reopened shortly before 1:30 p.m.Grafton fire officials said the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. and five people were hurt.

Port Washington man dies at scene of motorcycle crash on I-43 northbound in Mequon

MEQUON -- A 62-year-old Port Washington man died in a motorcycle crash in Mequon on Monday, Aug. 13.It happened around 6:15 p.m. on I-43 northbound near Highland Road.Officials with the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office said witnesses saw the motorcycle traveling on the shoulder of I-43 northbound, where the operator lost control and struck an embankment.The victim has been identified as Michael Fosco.

Developing: Investigation underway after crash involving city vehicle in Mequon; no serious injuries

MEQUON -- First responders were called out to a crash in Mequon involving a city vehicle.It happened around 3 p.m. Monday, July 30 near Donges Bay and Cedarburg Road.We're told a City of Mequon vehicle was involved in a crash with another vehicle.The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation.There were some injuries, but we're told they aren't serious.

Scam alert: Beware of callers identifying themselves as employees of Ozaukee Co. Sheriff's Office

OZAUKEE COUNTY -- The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office has received several complaints regarding scam phone calls in which the caller identifies himself as an employee of the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office and advises the victim there is a warrant for their arrest.Officials say the caller instructs the victim to wire transfer $1,000 in order to satisfy the warrant and avoid being arrested.

22-year-old Milwaukee man dies after losing control of motorcycle in Grafton

TOWN OF GRAFTON -- A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was pronounced dead at the scene after losing control of his motorcycle in the Town of Grafton Saturday night, Jan. 13.Just before 8 p.m., an Ozaukee County sheriff’s deputy attempted to catch a speeding motorcycle on County Highway V, north of Highway 60.

Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office: 2 hurt after crash involving ambulance, SUV in Fredonia

FREDONIA -- Ozaukee County officials responded to a two-vehicle crash involving an ambulance on Highway 57 and County Highway A in Fredonia.It happened around 1:15 p.m. on Friday, January 12th.According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office, the ambulance was traveling east on County Highway A, when it was struck by a Honda CR-V traveling northbound on Highway 57.PHOTO GALLERYThe driver of the ambulance was taken by a Waubeka ambulance to treatment, and the driver of the CR-V was taken to treatment by a Grafton ambulance.The driver of the Honda was cited for failure to yield the right of way for an emergency vehicle.The ambulance needed to be towed away on a flatbed.
