One person taken to the hospital after early-morning house fire in Racine

RACINE (WITI) -- One person was taken to the hospital following a fire that occurred at a home in Racine early Monday morning, May 25th.It happened just after 2:30 a.m. at a home in the 2000 block of Erie Street.Fire officials were notified of this fire by an occupant of the home.

Located: Police say 16-year-old boy with Asperger's syndrome found safe

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- Mount Pleasant police say 16-year-old Daniel Brunson has been located SAFE in Kenosha County.Brunson was reported missing in Mount Pleasant on Tuesday -- and there was concern because Brunson has Asperger's syndrome.On Wednesday morning, an alert citizen called Kenosha police after spotting Brunson near the Piggly Wiggly store in the 2800 block of 14th Place in Kenosha.Kenosha police responded and found Brunson.

Racine man, concealed carry permit holder arrested, accused of pointing his gun at a car wash

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- A Racine man was arrested on several charges after a 911 caller reported he pointed a gun while at a car wash on Regency West Drive.It happened on Saturday, April 11th shortly before noon at the Regency West Car Wash.Officers arrived and spoke with the 911 caller who reported he was washing his car with his two young children when a 37-year-old Racine man drove into the parking lot at a high rate of speed.

Three young Racine men accused of breaking into home so they could "socialize, drink and run around"

Racine's Vista Dental Products to relocate near airport, add 43 employees

RACINE (WITI) -- Racine's Vista Dental Products is planning a major expansion.The company is looking to purchase a new $30,000 square foot building on South Street near the Racine Airport.The purchase and renovation will cost more than $1 million.The company, with 46 employees, plans to add 43 people within three years.

Racine Fire Department rescues two teens stranded on Lake Michigan ice chunk

RACINE (WITI) -- Racine firefighters rescued two teens that were stranded on a chunk of ice on Lake Michigan located behind the Racine Zoo.A sheet of ice breaks off shore, sending the teens into open and very dangerous waters.A photograph taken by Racine Uncovered, shows the teens adrift on a slab of ice that broke off from shore around 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7th.
