RACINE (WITI) -- Officials in Racine on Thursday afternoon, October 17th were on the scene of a crash involving a school bus and two vehicles.The crash occurred at 12th and Washington on Thursday afternoon, October 17th.Officials say the crash involved a bus, SUV and truck.It is unclear at this time whether there were any injuries.
Racine businesses cited during inspections following complaints
RACINE (WITI) -- On 10/16/13, members of the Racine Police Department assisted agents from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue – Alcohol Tobacco Enforcement Unit, (ATEU) in conducting inspections of 14 businesses that hold an alcohol or tobacco license.The operation was a direct result of numerous complaints the ATEU has received regarding licensed businesses within the City of Racine selling untaxed alcohol and tobacco products as well as K2.Further complaints included selling alcohol after hours and to underage persons.The focus of the operation was to investigate, detect, and confiscate any untaxed cigarettes and tobacco products located within the businesses, and confirm alcohol was purchased legally.The following items were confiscated and retained by the ATEU:

RACINE (WITI) -- Racine police are looking for information that could lead to the arrest of a man they say exposed himself to a young girl on Wedneseday, September 25th.The incident in question happened around 7 a.m. along the bike path of Owen Davies Park in Racine.The victim reported that she was running on the bike trail when she observed a young female, walking southbound on the bike path through the park.
Rescued reptiles heading for new home in Myrtle Beach
RACINE (WITI) -- Ten reptiles rescued from a home in Kenosha County in May are heading for a new home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.The animals include five rattlesnakes, two American alligators, one crocodile, one alligator snapping turtle, and one Gila monster.
Hinson sentenced to six months in jail, cannot have pets
RACINE CO. (WITI) -- A Racine man found guilty of beating his dog to death was sentenced to six months in jail on Friday, September 13th.38-year-old Hinson pleaded no contest in June, and was found guilty of felony mistreatment of animals for allegedly beating his four-month-old pit bull to death.The court also ordered that Hinson may not own any pets or live in a home with pets.The criminal complaint in the case indicates an officer arrived at Hinson’s residence due to a call from a neighbor.

Racine Zoo holds 18th annual Classic Car, Truck and Bike Show
RACINE (WITI) -- You'd expect to see animals at the Racine Zoo, but on Sunday, August 18th they brought out beasts of a different kind for the 18th annual Classic Car, Truck and Bike Show."You're going to see a lot of classic cars, you're going to meet a lot of great people and besides that, you get to walk around the Racine Zoo and check out all the animals," said Chuck McVay, the owner of a 1966 Corvette.Over 4,000 visitors are expected for the event -- more than double the zoo's average Sunday attendance."Jungle" Jay Christie, President and CEO of the Racine Zoo, says guests will get a two-for-one show."It's a motivation for folks who maybe wouldn't have scheduled a trip to the zoo otherwise, because of their interest in cars," Christie explained.Those participating in the car show say they can't get enough of showing off their goods."You kind of get big-headed I guess you would say," said Will Beadles, the owner of a 1949 Chevy Pick-Up. "You get the old 'thumbs-up' and people tell you it's a nice looking vehicle and ask you a lot of questions about it and you get a chance to talk about it."With over 200 classic vehicles gracing the grounds, organizers estimate the show will raise more than $22,000 for the Racine Zoo.

Chicago man accused of scamming Racine cheerleading group
RACINE COUNTY (WITI) -- 26-year-old Edward Jordan of Chicago is facing charges, accused of scamming a Racine County cheerleading group.Jordan faces one count of felony theft - movable property (greater than $2,500 - $5,000), and two counts of felony theft - movable property (greater than $5,000 - $10,000).A criminal complaint in the case says Jordan was running a group called "Fierce Wisconsin All Stars Cheerleading," through which he had arranged for a cookie sale fundraiser with the assistance of parents with children involved in the group.The money raised was deposited into a TCF Bank account for the organization, which was controlled by Jordan -- according to the criminal complaint.The complaint says a parent learned via the cookie manufacturer that the check provided to them by Jordan had bounced, and thus, no cookies were to be delivered to customers -- and the people who sold the cookies were out the money.The complaint says bank records showed several withdrawals made from the account that were not for the purchase of cookies.

Racine man accused of choking co-worker at bakery
RACINE (WITI) -- A Racine man has been charged in a case in which he is accused of choking a fellow employee at a Racine bakery.Taurean Johnson-Puttman faces one count of strangulation and suffocation for an incident that occurred on Tuesday, July 2nd.A criminal complaint in the case says Johnson-Puttman and another man were working at O and H Bakery Tuesday, when the employee told officials Johnson-Puttman moved a piece of dough from this man's work station.
19 cats removed from Racine home during formal eviction
RACINE (WITI) -- Racine County Sheriff's officials say 19 cats were removed from a home on Phillips Avenue when officials were serving an eviction at the home at the request of the home's landlord.Sheriff's officials say when the eviction was served Thursday morning, June 27th, the tenant wasn't home, but 19 cats found in the home were taken to the Humane Society.Officials say the cats appeared to be in good health, and there was food and water available for them, as well as a litter box.It is unclear at this time whether the tenant has yet been located.Monitor FOX6 News and FOX6Now.com for updates on this story.

Teens with "Group Workcamp" arrive in Racine to fix homes
RACINE (WITI) -- Teenagers from across the country are relinquishing several days of their summer vacation to repair homes for those less fortunate in Racine, Wis., this week.Approximately 250 teen volunteers and their adult supervisors will spend the next four-and-a-half days in Racine to aid more than 30 homeowners in restoring their homes.
