4 hurt in crash caused by SB driver who crossed into NB lanes in Sheboygan County

SHEBOYGAN -- Four people were hurt in a crash involving two vehicles that happened on State Highway 28 near County Road SS in the Town of Scott in Sheboygan County Saturday evening, Oct. 12.It happened around 7:45 p.m.Sheriff's officials said a preliminary investigation revealed a West Bend man, 28, was driving a Dodge Neon south on State Highway 28, and crossed into the northbound lanes -- striking a GMC Sierra being driven by a Sheboygan man, 30.The Sheboygan man had two passengers -- a Sheboygan woman, 41, and a Sheboygan man, 37.All four people were taken to hospitals with varying degrees of injury.

Police: 13-year-old struck by vehicle driven by 16-year-old boy in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- A 13-year-old boy was seriously hurt when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old boy in Sheboygan Saturday afternoon, Oct. 12.It happened just after 2 p.m. near 13th Street and School Avenue.Police said the vehicle driven by the 16-year-old boy, headed northbound on 13th Street, struck three legally parked vehicles and the 13-year-old, who was standing at the rear bumper of one of the parked vehicles.He was seriously hurt and taken to Children's Hospital by helicopter, after initially being taken to a Sheboygan hospital by ambulance.Police said the 16-year-old boy was taken into custody.An investigation was ongoing.

Driver arrested for OWI following crash on I-43 in Sheboygan County, 2 hurt

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- A driver was arrested for OWI and reckless driving early Tuesday morning, Sept. 24 in Sheboygan County following a crash on I-43.According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, they received a 911 call reporting a two-vehicle crash on southbound I-43 at County Road FF in the Town of Mosel.According to witnesses, the vehicle was traveling southbound on I-43 at a high rate of speed when it struck the back of another southbound vehicle occupied by two adults and a child.The female adult passenger and child were injured.

Sheboygan police arrest 14-year-old boy, suspected in school threat at South HS

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police say they have arrested a 14-year-old boy for his alleged role in a school threat at South High School on Thursday, Sept. 19.Officers responded to South High School shortly after 2 p.m. to investigate a report of a student being in possession of a handgun at the school.

Sheboygan police report 3 burglaries at unlocked, occupied homes in 3 days

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police on Tuesday, Sept. 10 offered a warning after three burglaries at occupied, unlocked homes in three days.Police noted there was no specific evidence that these crimes were linked, but there were commonalities, including in each case, wallets or purses were taken that the burglar(s) had easy access to, as they were out in the open, within a few steps of the unlocked entryway.Some of the stolen property was recovered, police said.No one was arrested.Police advised homeowners to take the following steps to protect their property and prevent these "crimes of opportunity:"

Police: Man surrendered without incident after mental health crisis near Sheboygan hospital

SHEBOYGAN -- Police on Monday afternoon, Sept. 9 asked that people avoid the area near Sheboygan Memorial Hospital (near 6th Street and North Avenue), after officers responded to the medical center for a man experiencing a mental health crisis.Police said officers "contained the area" and asked that people "avoid the area until the incident is resolved" -- including proceeding to the location for previously scheduled appointments.A spokeswoman with Aurora Health Care issued this statement to FOX6 News:

Sheboygan police investigate 2nd school threat in as many days; arrest made

SHEBOYGAN -- A 16-year-old was arrested in connection with the second school threat in as many days, Sheboygan police announced Tuesday, Sept. 3 -- the first day of school.According to police, on Tuesday, a concerned parent reported they had seen a social media post "inferring a threat to South High School."An investigation revealed the 16-year-old from Sheboygan was responsible for the post.
