Police: 15-year-old arrested in Sheboygan for school threat posted to social media

SHEBOYGAN -- A 15-year-old was arrested Monday, Sept. 2 after police said a concerned parent reported their child spotted "a social media post inferring a threat" to South High School on Sept. 3.Police determined the threat was not credible, and said there's no threat to the school or community.Officials with the Sheboygan Area School District were notified of the incident.Police encouraged parents to speak with their children about the seriousness and ramifications of such threats -- and to monitor their children's social media accounts.

Sheboygan man in custody after accidentally firing gunshots towards neighboring home

SHEBOYGAN -- A 40-year-old man is in police custody after accidentally firing two shots towards a neighboring home near 11th and High early morning Sunday, Aug. 26.According to police, officials received a call from a neighbor reporting that a gunshot struck a private residence around 1:54 a.m. Law enforcement arrived and determined that a neighbor had accidentally discharged two shots.

Man, woman seriously hurt in motorcycle crash on County A in Sheboygan County

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- Two people were seriously hurt in motorcycle crash on County Highway A in Sheboygan County on Saturday, Aug. 24.The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene around 1 p.m.Officials say a 40-year-old man and his 39-year-old female passenger were critically injured when the motorcycle they were riding lost control.Both victims were taken to treatment via helicopter.The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office had help at the scene from the Greenbush Fire Department, Gelnbeulah First Responders, Plymouth Fire Department, Plymouth Police Department, Flight for Life, Theda Star, and Orange Cross Ambulance Service.

Sheboygan County: 2-year-old child suffers life-threatening injuries in lawn mower accident

SHEYBOYGAN -- A 2-year-old child was seriously hurt in a lawn mower accident in Sheboygan County on Friday, Aug. 9.It happened in the Village of Hingham around 1:45 p.m.According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, the child was taken by Flight for Life to Children's Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.Officials say the incident does not appear to be criminal in nature.

Father and son seriously hurt in crash involving motorcycle in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- A father and son were seriously hurt in a crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle Wednesday evening, July 24 in Sheboygan.It happened just after 5 p.m. near 14th and Indiana.Police said the motorcycle was operated by a 42-year-old Sheboygan man, whose 11-year-old son was a passenger.

Sheriff: Gust of wind likely caused serious crash involving SUV, camper in Sheboygan County

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- A gust of wind is believed to have caused a serious crash on I-43 in Sheboygan County Thursday, July 18.It happened just after 11:30 a.m., and the scene was cleared by about 2:30 p.m.Officials with the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office said an 80-year-old woman was driving an SUV and towing a camper when she lost control just south of Highway 28.The woman was ejected, and later flown to a hospital.Her 62-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.

Sheboygan police seek 2 men wanted in May shooting near 10th and Superior

SHEBOYGAN -- The Sheboygan Police Department on Wednesday, June 26 asked for help locating two men wanted in connection with a shooting that happened on May 4 near 10th and Superior.Police said officers were dispatched to the area for possible gunshots, and they found several bullet holes in a residence.The home was occupied at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured.

Man with history of improper behavior, accused of exposing himself at Sheboygan park, pleads no contest

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- A Sheboygan man with a history of lewd and lascivious behavior was convicted once again -- after prosecutors said a mother and her young daughter witnessed disturbing behavior at a park in the city.Ryan Gruenke, 34, of Plymouth on June 13 pleaded no contest to one count of exposing genitals/public area/intimate parts to a child and one count of lewd, lascivious behavior/exposure.

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- All lanes of I-43 northbound and southbound were closed Wednesday night, May 29 at Mile Marker 135 in Sheboygan County due to a fatal crash.Around 9:54 p.m., Sheboygan dispatchers recieved a 911 call referencing a crash involving serious injuries on I-43 NB at Orchard Road in the Town of Mosel.
