Police seek 2 suspects in armed robbery at unlocked home in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police are seeking two suspects, accused in connection with an armed robbery at a home near 9th and Superior in Sheboygan.Police say the victim was targeted after posting a photo showing a large amount of cash on Facebook.The armed robbery happened on Saturday night, Nov. 10, around 8:30 p.m.According to police, the suspects, described as males, black, in their 20s, entered the unlocked home and displayed a firearm.

Sheboygan police officer hurt after alleged drunk driver crashes into squad car

SHEBOYGAN -- A Sheboygan police squad was struck by an alleged drunk driver Saturday night, Nov. 3.According to the Sheboygan Police Department, it happened around 8:20 p.m. near 14th and Michigan Avenue.Officials say the squad, occupied by two officers, was struck from behind by another vehicle.One officer was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.The driver of the striking vehicle, a 42-year-old Sheboygan man, was arrested for drunk driving.

2 taken to hospital by Flight for Life following single-vehicle crash in Sheboygan County

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- Two people were transported the the hospital via Flight for Life following a single-vehicle crash in Sheboygan County.Officials say the crash happened on State highway 23 near Bridgewood Road in Sheboygan Falls.Prior to the crash, a caller reported the vehicle was traveling westbound and swerving.According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle went into a ditch, rolled several times and struck a fence.A 24-year-old male passenger from Adell, was ejected from the vehicle.

Multiple vehicle crash temporarily closes I-43 South; no one injured

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- I-43 South was temporarily closed Friday night, Oct. 12 after a truck crashed into two vehicles.The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office got the call around 6: 30 p.m. about a multiple vehicle crash on I-43 north of County Road MM in the Town of Mosel.Authorities say that two vehicle were parked on the side of the road -- outside the fog line because of a previous crash.

Woman accused of punching, biting officers during arrest sentenced to prison

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY -- A woman accused of punching and biting Sheboygan police officers as they tried to arrest her in January of 2016 has been sentenced to prison.Heather Ahles, 44, of Allouez in December of 2017 pleaded no contest to two counts of battery or threat to a judge, prosecutor or law enforcement officer.

2 killed in crash at 14th and Pennsylvania in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- Two drivers were killed in a crash at 14th and Pennsylvania in Sheboygan on Tuesday, Sept. 18.It happened around 3 p.m.Police said a 56-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman died as a result of the crash -- which involved two vehicles and no passengers.

Police: 4 arrested amid investigation into man's overdose death at Volrath Park in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- Four people were arrested as Sheboygan police investigated the overdose death of a 32-year-old man from Sheboygan.According to police, officers responded to Volrath Park on Tuesday, Aug. 21, where they found the man unresponsive in a bathroom as a result of an overdose.An investigation led detectives to a 38-year-old Sheboygan Falls woman, accused of providing the drugs to the victim.

Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash in Sheboygan; alcohol believed to be a factor

SHEBOYGAN -- Sheboygan police are investigating a crash involving a car and motorcycle that happened Saturday night, Aug. 11.It happened near Michigan Avenue and North 3rd Street.According to police, a 23-year-old Sheboygan man was on his motorcycle heading eastbound on Michigan Avenue when he struck an SUV driven by a 50-year-old Sheboygan man.Witnesses said the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed just before the collision.

Man working for Butler company killed in industrial accident at Meijer site in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN -- A 20-year-old man was killed in an industrial accident that happened at the Meijer construction site in Sheboygan, police said Thursday, Aug. 9.It happened around 8:30 a.m., at the site off of Kohler Memorial Drive, near Taylor and Erie.Police said Marcelo Barreiro-Mersfelder was killed after becoming pinned between heavy equipment and a wall while pouring concrete at the site.The Sheboygan County Medical Examiner responded and determined the cause of death to be blunt force trauma.The Sheboygan Police Department has determined that the death was accidental, however, the investigation is ongoing.The victim was employed by Superior Masonry Builders Inc.

55-year-old man found dead after house fire in Town of Sheboygan Falls

SHEBOYGAN Falls -- A 55-year-old man was found deceased after a fire in his house in the Town of Sheboygan Falls early Friday, Aug. 3.Officials say a call came into the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center at 5:15 a.m. Friday for a structure fire on State Highway 32.The man has been identified as David Majdacic -- who was the sole resident at the home.
