WEST BEND -- A 41-year-old man was arrested in connection with a concerning post on social media regarding a gun at school in West Bend.According to police, around 6 p.m., they were notified by West Bend School District officials of the post, which indicated the man's daughter carried a "Glock 45" handgun to school every day -- posted in response to an exchange about a fight between two 15-year-old individuals that happened earlier Tuesday.The post caused school officials to become concerned for the safety of students and staff, so they reported the post to police.Police located the alleged poster, and he was interviewed.

GERMANTOWN -- Germantown police need your help identifying a suspect accused of leaving Fleet Farm without paying for items she allegedly concealed in her purse.It happened on Aug. 17, around 5:30 p.m.According to police, when the suspect was approached by the store's loss prevention officer in the parking lot, she turned over the stolen items, but refused to cooperate further.The suspect told the loss prevention employee she was on probation and would go to jail if she got caught stealing.The suspect left in a green Ford Taurus with no registration plates.She’s been described as a woman, white, between the ages of 20 and 30, standing between 5'5" and 5'9" tall and weighing 150 pounds.

West Bend police: 8 kayakers overturn in Milwaukee River; no one hurt

WEST BEND -- Eight kayakers overturned in the Milwaukee River on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 2.It happened shortly after noon in the section of the Milwaukee River that runs through Riverside Park in West Bend.Police said an officer in the area was flagged down by one of the kayakers, who said at least two of them overturned, and were missing their kayaks.Responding officers learned eight adult kayakers overturned in the river.

Woman arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot former boss, pointing gun at deputy

TOWN OF ERIN -- A 49-year-old Town of Erin woman was taken into custody Wednesday night, Aug. 29 after making threats and pointing a revolver at a deputy.According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Pleasant Hill Road around 5:15 p.m. regarding a threats complaint.The suspect, a 49-year-old Town of Erin woman, was recently let go from her job and allegedly threatened to shoot her former boss if he came to the property to retrieve company property.When the deputy arrived on scene the woman exited the house.
