'Drinking beer in his vehicle:' West Bend man, 73, arrested for 8th OWI offense after brief pursuit

WEST BEND -- A West Bend man, 73, was arrested for his eighth OWI offense after an individual called police to report a driver "drinking beer in his vehicle."According to police, the call came in around 4:45 p.m. The caller reported the man was driving away from a business on South Main Street.An officer spotted the man's vehicle headed northbound on Main Street, and the vehicle was stopped at Main and High Street.

39,000 pounds of sausage spilled onto I-41 following semi rollover in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- Crews were working around four hours picking up 39,000 pounds of sausage after a semi-tractor trailer rolled over in the Town of Wayne Sunday night, May 13.It happened just before 11 p.m. in the median of I-41 south of STH 28.According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the investigation revealed that the driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer and lost control of the semi-tractor trailer which then rolled onto its side into the median.The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital by the Kewaskum Rescue where he was treated for his minor injures and was later released.Officials say the trailer was loaded with 39,000 pounds of sausage.

Man taken to hospital via Flight for Life after motorcycle struck deer in Washington County

TOWN OF TRENTON -- A man, 44, from the Town of Farmington had to be taken to the hospital via Flight for Life after his motorcycle struck a deer on Saturday night, May 5.It happened around 11:15 p.m. on Wallace Lake Road west of Poplar Road in the Town of Trenton in Washington County.Sheriff's officials said the man was located lying in the ditch with a severe head injury.Wallace Lake Road was closed for about an hour.A preliminary investigation revealed that the man had been driving eastbound on Wallace Lake Road when he struck the deer He was ejected, and wasn't wearing a helmet.

Germantown police seek suspect accused of taking photo of woman in McDonald's restroom

GERMANTOWN -- Germantown police are seeking a suspect accused of taking a photo of a woman in the restroom at McDonald's.According to police, on Monday, April 9, officers were called out for a "disorderly conduct" call at the McDonald's at Mequon Rd.There, they learned the suspect came into the women's restroom and took the photo of the woman from under the stall.The suspect then fled the scene in a recreational vehicle, white in color with a blue stripe and no license plates.Anyone with information is asked to contact Germantown police.

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- Two people are in custody and another escaped after a 20 mile police pursuit happened early Saturday morning, March 24 in Washington County.The Washington County Sheriff's Office said it all began just before 12:30 a.m. when they were notified by the Wisconsin State Patrol in Fond du lac that they received a 911 report of two vehicles driving reckless at over 100 miles-per-hour on I-41 in Fond du lac County.
