Severe thunderstorm warning, hail possible

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of a few southeastern Wisconsin counties throughout the afternoon and early on Friday, Aug. 6. The most recent alert was issued for parts of Walworth County until 8:45 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, parts of Fond du Lac, Dodge, Jefferson, Sheboygan and Walworth counties could be impacted by the storms as they roll across the area.

During the warning, stay away from windows, electrical equipment and plumbing. Bring pets and lightweight furniture inside. Quarter-sized hail and damage to vehicles are expected.
