Southeast Wisconsin snow in the forecast; what you need to know
MILWAUKEE - A low pressure system will bring light snow showers across southeast Wisconsin Tuesday, Dec. 17 at night into the early morning on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Snow will begin around 8 p.m. and continue tapering off during the morning commute hours on Wednesday. Snow totals will be a dusting to half an inch with isolated spots that could see higher amounts. Needless to say, even though this isn't a big event, it will cause slick travel at times for the Wednesday morning commute.
What's coming Friday?
A secondary system will bring snow Thursday, Dec. 19 into the afternoon on Friday, Dec. 20. This sytem will bring widespread snow for a longer duration allowing totals to accumulate to several inches on surfaces. Snowfall accumulation amounts could range from 1-3". This will be more impactful during the evening commute hours on Thursday.
