MILWAUKEE - The National Weather Service has issued a winter winter advisory for portions of southeast Wisconsin. It takes effect Thursday morning and runs through midday Friday.
The FOX6 Weather Experts say 2–4 inches of snow can be expected in most areas, while there is the potential for 4–6 inches over northern counties, including the northern lakeshore, due to possible lake enhancement and heavier snow. As always, snowfall totals will likely be tweaked as new data comes in ahead of the storm. Stay tuned for changes.

Snow showers will begin by mid-morning Thursday and then continue into at least Friday morning. The highest impacts will be Thursday evening and especially Friday morning. There is a possibility for lake enhancement and heavier snow on Thursday night, especially up north, so travel will be messy during that time frame. This will be heavy, wet snow as temperatures hover near or just below freezing.
