Kenosha house fire on Sheridan Road, multiple agencies respond
KENOSHA, Wis. - Multiple agencies responded to a Kenosha house fire early Wednesday morning, Jan. 8.
What we know
It happened at a duplex on Sheridan Road near 14th Place. Somers firefighters arrived just after midnight and found smoke coming from the roof.

The fire was located and extinguished "relatively quickly," according to Somers Fire & Rescue. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross was requested to help the residents.
Due to the cold temperatures, additional help was requested.
Six area fire departments, as well as the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department and We Energies, responded to the scene. The Kenosha County highways division helped with salt due to icing. Three fire departments, including one from Illinois, back-filled Somers during the response.
What we don't know
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
