2021 Racine 'Bag Boys' drug bust, last of men accused sentenced
RACINE, Wis. - The last of the men accused in a 2021 Racine "Bad Boys" drug bust has been sentenced.

The backstory:
Court records show 25-year-old Zachery Zavala was sentenced on Monday to three years in prison and three years of extended supervision. He pleaded guilty in November to three felonies, and four other charges were dismissed.

Zavala was the last of the men charged in the case to be sentenced. Four others were sentenced as follows:
- Alec Bobinski, 26, was sentenced in April 2024 to 18 months in prison and two years of extended supervision for fleeing police, as well as probation for drug offenses and a $200 fine for driving while revoked. He pleaded no contest in December 2023 to four charges, and 11 other charges were dismissed.
- Amonte Underwood-Givens, 24, was sentenced to probation in May 2023. He pleaded guilty that March to two drug-related felonies, and six additional charges were dismissed.
- Trestin Manar, 24, was sentenced to probation in April 2023. He had pleaded no contest earlier that year to three felonies, and 14 other charges were dismissed.
- Xavian Cruz, 25, pleaded guilty to a drug felony – the only charge he faced – and was sentenced to probation in July 2022.
At the time of the drug bust, the Racine County Sheriff's Office also arrested two other men – one on a probation hold for gun charges, the other on multiple warrants.
'Bag Boys' drug bust
The backstory:
The drug bust happened on Oct. 14, 2021. Agents with the Racine County Metro Drug Unit, with help from other agencies, executed warrants related to an eight-month investigation into a local drug trafficking organization known as the "Bag Boys."

The warrants were executed at five different locations, all in Racine, near:
- Lasalle and William
- St. Clair and Yout
- Green and Walton
- Marquette and State
- Arthur and Victory
During the investigation, agents learned that the Bag Boys would advertise illegal drugs for sale on a Snapchat "drug menu." They also advertised illegal firearms sales, the sheriff's office said.
Agents made multiple purchases from the Bag Boys, including marijuana, marijuana wax, psilocybin, ecstasy and oxycodone. They also recovered an abandoned bag that had marijuana, marijuana cartridges and a loaded gun inside.
