Packers to welcome team alumni at home opener

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- The Green Bay Packers game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Sept. 15, is the annual alumni game and will feature halftime introductions of 30 players from the Packers’ 1965, 1966 and 1967 championship teams.Members of the championship teams scheduled to be in attendance include Bill Anderson, Donny Anderson, Ken Bowman, Zeke Bratkowski, Tom Brown, Dick Capp, Bill Curry, Carroll Dale, Willie Davis, Boyd Dowler, Jim Flanigan, Marv Fleming, Jim Grabowski, Doug Hart, Dave Hathcock, Don Horn, Paul Hornung, Jerry Kramer, Bob Long, William Mack, Chuck Mercein, Dave Robinson, Bob Skoronski, Bart Starr, Fred Thurston, Phil Vandersea, James Weatherwax, Ben Wilson and Steve Wright.The alumni will take the field and serve in Sunday’s Ambassador Line during pregame festivities, and then be introduced from the field during halftime.

9/11 Memorial Stair Climb held at Lambeau Field honors firefighters

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- Three women, all volunteer firefighters with the Port Washington Fire Department on Sunday, July 14th participated in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb in Green Bay at Lambeau Field.The first ever Pierce 100th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb was held inside the bowl Sunday -- paying tribute to the 343 firefighters who lost their lives at the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001.Colorado firefighters Scott Eckels and Shawn Duncan started the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb back in 2005, and now, climbs take place across the country and world.Each participant is given a picture ID of one of the 343 firefighters who was killed.

Packers announce new policy regarding bags at stadium

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- To enhance the safety of fans at Lambeau Field, the Packers have announced an NFL policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the stadium.The NFL Committee on Stadium Security in May unanimously recommended the implementation of this measure that will enhance public safety and make it easier for fans to gain access in all stadiums.

Job fair planned at Lambeau Field for food service positions

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- Delaware North Companies SportService (DNC), the Green Bay Packers’ hospitality and food service provider, will host a job fair on Tuesday, May 7th, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Lambeau Field Atrium.A number of seasonal/part-time positions are available in concessions (stand attendants, supervisors, vendors and warehouse), Curly’s Pub (cooks, wait staff, bussers and dishwashers), suites (attendants, runners and supervisors), catering (servers and bartenders) and culinary (cooks, prep cooks, line cooks and dishwashers).For those who are interested but unable to attend the job fair, applications can be requested by emailing gbjobs@dncinc.com.The Packers are also currently looking for community groups to work concessions during the 2013 season.
