Land donation could allow power lines to be buried near school

MILWAUKEE -- Representatives from Milwaukee Montessori School and Parkside Pool Apartments announced plans Thursday, May 10th to donate a strip of land which could allow American Transmission Company (ATC) to bury its proposed 138,000-volt transmission lines there instead of stringing them overhead.

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police and WE Energies are warning residents that live on the city's south side to be aware of a crew of con artists who have struck the area several times since January 25th, targeting the elderly.These criminals gain entry to homes by posing as We Energies workers or contractors who want to check the roof for leaks.

Driver thankful for Good Samaritans after rollover crash

BIG BEND -- Messy road conditions Tuesday morning caused dozens of accidents throughout the area, and one woman driving through Big Bend Tuesday morning is now praising a couple of Good Samaritans.A homeowner saw a car slide into a ditch along Highway 164 and land upside down on its roof in about three feet of water.Nearby tree service workers from We Energies rolled the car on its side, getting it out of the water.
