25 children who have bravely fought cancer take flight from Mitchell Airport to the North Pole! 🎅

MILWAUKEE -- Twenty-five lucky children got to take off in a plane from MKE Mitchell International Airport Saturday, Dec. 14 -- and they landed in the North Pole!This effort was a partnership between Delta Air Lines, Signature Flight Support MKE -- Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, and Flight to the North Pole.All of the children involved have bravely fought cancer.

 MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport on Monday, Oct. 21 introduced a new campaign series featuring animated videos that aim to educate local travelers about the importance of starting their flights from MKE.According to a press release, results of the airport's recent economic impact study show that if Milwaukeeans choose MKE over a Chicago airport, they could add new flights, hundreds of new jobs and more than $200 million annually to Wisconsin's economy.

MILWAUKEE -- Officials with the Transportation Security Administration discovered two loaded firearms at Mitchell International Airport at security screening checkpoints over a three-day period.According to a news release from TSA officials, on Sunday, June 9, a .22 caliber Ruger, loaded with nine rounds, was found during X-ray screening at one of the checkpoints.On Tuesday morning, June 11, another passenger brought a .380 caliber Sig Sauer, loaded with eight rounds, in a carry-on bag.

MILWAUKEE -- A Miami, Florida man was busted at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport with Adderall he did not have a prescription for.Jerome Hunt, 39, faces one count of possession of a controlled substance.According to a criminal complaint, on Friday, May 3, deputies at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport notified a sergeant with the High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program about a possible incident in which bulk cash was smuggled by a passenger.
