Girl Scouts drop by with dozens of boxes of cookies for Glendale Police Department

GLENDALE -- A sweet surprise was dropped off at the Glendale Police Department, thanks to a group of Girl Scouts on Thursday, April 4.To show appreciation for their hard work, Brownie/Girl Scouts Troop #20062 delivered boxes upon boxes of cookies to the station.The group of girls, who are students at Parkway Elementary School, crafted a giant "Thank You" sign to go along with the surprise.

GLENDALE -- Glendale police announced on Tuesday, Nov. 27 that a $2,500 reward is now being offered for information leading to an arrest and the recovery of very large and distinctive pieces of metal.116 large metal alloy pieces that were on 29 wooden skids were stolen over multiple thefts during July and August 2018.

MILWAUKEE -- One person was arrested and police were searching for another after a pursuit ended in a crash on Sherman between Custer and Silver Spring Drive in Milwaukee Monday, Oct. 1.According to Brown Deer police, around noon, officers were trying to stop a stolen BMW, which fled, and the pursuit began, reaching speeds near 90 miles-per-hour.

Glendale police: Group jumps fence, steals $3,400 in construction equipment

GLENDALE -- Glendale police are looking to track down three people who jumped a fence on North Glen Park Road, and stole thousands of dollars in construction equipment.Police say it happened around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18.According to police, three subjects exited their vehicle -- a tan four-door Buick Regal -- jumped a fence and stole construction and power equipment valued at approximately $3,400.

'100 percent privately funded:' Chalk Art Festival raises money for new Glendale PD K-9 officer

GLENDALE -- The "Chalk Art Festival" was held in Glendale Sunday, Aug. 12 to raise money for the Glendale Police Department's K-9 unit.Nationally-known chalk artists decorated pavement, and local artists got in on the action too.Businesses near Port Washington and Green Tree teamed up to raise money to replace the Glendale Police Department's retiring K-9 Boomer.Boomer has been with the department for 10 years."Chalk makes it easy just to walk by and come support the community, and support local businesses.
