MPD detective ordered to pay fine after punching, stomping on live-in girlfriend

MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee police detective accused of grabbing, punching, and stomping on his girlfriend was ordered to pay a fine after he was sentenced to time served on Friday, Aug. 16.Jason Rodriguez, 40, of Greenfield, on Friday pleaded guilty to an amended charge of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.He was then sentenced to serve three days in the House of Correction, with credit for three days' time served.

Police recover stolen vehicle after pursuit that started in Greenfield; driver and passenger were gone

MILWAUKEE -- A vehicle stolen out of Milwaukee was recovered early Wednesday, Aug. 14 -- but the driver and passenger were not present when officers found the vehicle in Milwaukee after a pursuit that started in Greenfield.Shortly before 4 a.m., Greenfield police attempted to stop a vehicle that had license plates that didn't match the vehicle the plates were registered to -- near 84th Street and Layton Avenue/Forest Home Avenue -- a busy spot during rush hour.

73-year-old motorcyclist dead after collision with car near 46th and Forest Home

MILWAUKEE -- A 73-year-old motorcyclist from Milwaukee died from injuries suffered after a collision between the motorcycle and a car near 46th and Forest Home on Friday afternoon, April 5.Officials were called to the scene shortly after 3:30 p.m. They say the motorcyclist was headed from a stop sign onto Forest Home Ave.

City of Greenfield appoints new police chief

GRENFIELD -- The Greenfield Police and Fire Commission unanimously appointed Captain Jay Johnson as Police Chief for the City of Greenfield on Thursday, April 4.Chief Johnson started with City of Greenfield as a police officer in March of 1992.
