Greenfield police warn public to be on lookout for new skimming devices

GREENFIELD -- Greenfield police are warning the public about new skimming devices that are suspected in the area.Officials said in a Facebook post, the skimmers are similar to the overlay skimmer seen in the picture -- and can apparently be placed on counter card terminals in just seconds.If you suspect or locate a skimming device at a business or see someone installing one, Greenfield police urge you to contact them immediately at 414-761-5301.

Owner located after Greenfield police shared photo of lost dog

GREENFIELD -- Greenfield police on Sunday, Feb. 25 took to social media -- looking for the owner(s) of a lost dog.Police said the dog was found wandering Sunday, Feb. 25 near 43rd and Layton Ave.Police described the dog as "super handsome" and said the dog would be hanging out with dispatchers until the owners are found.There was soon some great news -- the owner was located, and this pup was on his way home.Thank you for your help in spreading the word!

Police: 7 taken into custody following police pursuit involving stolen vehicle

MILWAUKEE -- Seven people were taken into custody Tuesday morning, Feb. 6 following a police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle.According to police, the pursuit began near 3rd Street and Edgerton Avenue after officers spotted a stolen Chevy Impala.The pursuit ended around 2:45 a.m. near Edgerton and Howell.

Prosecutors: Man federally charged for bank robbery hoped he'd get away "til after Christmas or something"

GREENFIELD -- A man quickly arrested by a detective after a foot pursuit, in connection with a bank robbery in Greenfield, is facing federal charges.The accused is Curtis Trotter, who is charged with taking or attempting to obtain by extortion any property, money or valuables -- and use/car/possess firearm during the commission of a federal crime of violence.Federal prosecutors say Trotter brandished a firearm while robbing the TCF Bank near 76th and Forest Home on November 28th.
