BROOKFIELD -- Police are looking to find a woman who stole nearly $200 worth of liquor from the Pick 'N Save store located on Capitol Drive near 124th Street in Brookfield.The theft happened Thursday, September 7th around 6:30 p.m.According to police, the suspect took approximately $177.42 worth of liquor without permission and without payment.

Crash involving semi closes all lanes of I-94 WB at Calhoun in Brookfield for 3 hours

BROOKFIELD --  Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation reported early Monday, September 4th a crash involving  a semi and a passenger vehicle closed all lanes of I-94 westbound at Calhoun Road in Brookfield.It happened around 12:30 a.m.When authorities arrived on scene, they found there was complete lane blockage, and one vehicle was slightly under the trailer of the semi.The initial investigation indicates the semi and unloaded trailer were traveling eastbound on I-94, at which point the driver became inattentive.

BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield police are asking for your help in identify three suspects in their early twenties who committed retail theft.The suspects, one man and two women, entered the DSW near Bluemound Road and Calhoun Road around 2:40 p.m. on Sunday, August 20th.Officials say they fled the scene in a stolen red Ford Focus with the license plate 891XWL.

Update: Brookfield police identify Boston Store theft suspect

BROOKFIELD -- Brookfield police have identified a suspect who allegedly stole over $300 worth of merchandise from the Boston Store at Brookfield Square Mall.Police say the around 5:55 p.m. Thursday, August 10th, a white female in her late 20s to early 30s, entered the Boston Store and selected $327.41 worth of merchandise and left without paying.The woman was seen on surveillance wearing a black tank top, pink shorts, black sandals and sunglasses on top of her head at the time of the theft.PHOTO GALLERYFriday night, August 11th police say they have identified the suspect and are thanking the public for their help.

14 trees stolen in Brookfield as authorities investigate rash of birch thefts in WI, MN

BROOKFIELD -- Authorities in Wisconsin and Minnesota are investigating a rash of thefts of birch trees -- and Brookfield police say 14 trees were stolen from a business near Greenfield Avenue and South Sunny Slope Road on March 27th.According to Brookfield police, the thefts happened between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. Twelve "arborvitae trees" and two "flowering trees" were taken from a business by two suspects.
