Arctic air, potentially dangerous wind chills slated for Wisconsin

What we know:

Dangerous cold settles in tonight and Tuesday morning, thanks to a strong northwest wind and mostly clear sky. Air temperatures will drop into the single digits above and below 0 tonight with wind chills of -10 to -25°.

What's next:

We remain very cold and blustery Tuesday afternoon with air temperatures reaching into the teens and wind chills just above and below 0. We begin to warm Wednesday, then jump into the 40s on Friday. Unfortunately, the bitter cold returns the second half of the weekend.

Dig deeper:

A Cold Advisory is a new term that replaces the Wind Chill Advisory. They are issued when wind chills colder than -20° are possible.
