Suspects in latest break-in at Manheim Auto Auction are juveniles from Milwaukee

CALEDONIA -- Officials with the Racine County Sheriff's Office said Monday, August 7th the suspects arrested following a break-in at the Manheim Auto Auction are juveniles.It happened early on August 3rd.Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said several individuals were taken into custody in connection with the attempted theft of vehicles.

Family of Lynn Rickard, missing since June 25th, increases reward in case to $25K

KANSASVILLE -- The family of Lynn Rickard, missing from Kansasville since June 25th is now offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts.The original reward of $10,000 was increased to $25,000 on Monday, August 7th.Anyone with information is asked to contact the Racine County Sheriff's Office immediately.In July, the Milwaukee Police Department's Mounted Unit assisted with the search for Rickard.

24-year-old man dies following two-vehicle crash in Racine County

RACINE COUNTY -- A 24-year-old man has died and another person is hurt following a two-vehicle crash in the 22200 block of Highway 20/Washington Avenue in Racine County Thursday, July 6th.According to the Racine County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened just before 3:45 p.m.Officials say initial investigation shows the 24-year-old man was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla eastbound, when it went into the south gravel shoulder of the road and lost control of the car and ended up crossing the center line, entering the path of a westbound Lexus SUV.

WATERFORD -- An elderly man was tied to a chair in his Waterford home, pistol whipped and stabbed by suspects who then stole cash, officials with the Racine County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday, July 5th, and deputies say the suspects may have followed him home from Summerfest.It happened early Wednesday, around 12:30 a.m. Officials say the man was buying and selling tickets outside Summerfest, and soon, it appears two men followed him to Racine County.Sheriff's officials said a report came in regarding an elderly man "calling for help in the roadway" in the area near Elm Island Drive near Tamarack Trail in Waterford.

Search for Lynn Rickard, missing since June 25th, suspended on the Fourth of July holiday

KANSASVILLE -- The search for 59-year-old Lynn Rickard was suspended Tuesday, July 4th for the Fourth of July holiday.The Kansasville woman left her mobile home Sunday, June 25th and was last seen later that day.The search Monday, July 3rd focused on an area close to the mobile home park where Rickard was last seen, with officials hopeful specialty dogs brought in from Madison would make a difference.As crews combed through a field near his home, Lynn Rickard's husband, John, said Monday he could not bring himself to any Fourth of July cookouts.

Man, woman arrested after they were busted allegedly taking scrap auto parts from Racine Co. dealer

RACINE COUNTY -- A man and woman from Racine were arrested early Monday, July 3rd after officials say they were caught loading vehicle parts into their vehicle behind Zarate's Auto Sales.According to officials with the Racine County Sheriff's Office, shortly before 2:00 a.m., deputies on patrol learned of people with flashlights behind Zarate's Auto Sales, located near S. 27th and West 7 Mile Road.When speaking with the man and woman, they told investigators they had permission from the owner of the business to take some of the scrap auto parts.
