"Leave the clown costumes at home for awhile:" At least 2 clown-related incidents in southeastern Wisconsin over the weekend

FRANKLIN/WEST BEND -- As the "creepy clown" phenomenon continues to sweep the nation (and world), at least two police departments in southeastern Wisconsin are reporting clown related incidents from over the weekend -- and issuing warnings.Franklin police say there were two incidents involving people "wearing scary clown masks in public."The first happened Friday night, October 7th at the Franklin High School football game, and involved a 15-year-old student running out onto the field during the game while wearing a "scary clown" mask.The second happened Saturday after midnight, near S. 35th Street and Ryan Road.

FRANKLIN -- Franklin police need your help to identify a suspect who robbed the North Shore Bank near 76th and Rawson on Monday afternoon, September 19th.Officials say the suspect walked into the bank just after 4:30 p.m. He demanded money and obtained an undetermined amount of currency from the clerk.

1 person in custody after hit-and-run crash on off-ramp from I-94 to Ryan Road in Franklin

FRANKLIN -- The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened Monday, August 22nd on an off-ramp from I-94 to Ryan Road.It happened around 11:15 a.m.Officials say a car hit the back of a semi on the off-ramp, and the people inside took off running.The person who is believed to have been the driver is in custody.

Franklin police seek suspects after portable toilet "blown up" at The Rock Sports Complex

FRANKLIN -- Franklin police are seeking suspects after a portable toilet was blown up at The Rock Sports Complex on Sunday night, June 26th.Police say this happened sometime between 8:00 p.m. and 11:15 p.m.Police received several calls from people reporting the sounds of shots fired and an explosion in the area near 76th and Rawson.An investigation revealed a Port-a-John had been blown up near the BMX track at The Rock Sports Complex.Police have now increased patrols to deter any further damage and to possibly locate the suspects responsible for the damage.Anyone with any information should contact the Franklin Police Department at 414-425-2522.

Bomb threats called into three schools in the Milwaukee area: "It's frustrating"

GERMANTOWN -- A wave of bomb threats forced evacuations at schools across the state of Wisconsin and the country this week, and on Wednesday, May 25th, this happened at at least three schools in the Milwaukee area.Students were evacuated from Franklin High School in Franklin,County Line Elementary School in Germantown and Bradford High School in Kenosha after threats were phoned into those schools.

Bus driver suffers medical emergency while driving, strikes vehicle in Franklin

FRANKLIN -- Franklin police say a 71-year-old school bus driver was taken to the hospital from the scene of a crash involving a vehicle and the bus that happened near Rawson and Forest Home on Wednesday, April 13th.The crash happened shortly after 4:00 p.m.A "First Student" school bus that had departed from Country Dale Elementary School collided with a vehicle that was stopped at a red light at the intersection.Police say it appears the school bus driver suffered a medical emergency and lost control of the bus.The bus driver was taken to the hospital.None of the 42 students on the bus were hurt.The driver of the vehicle that the bus hit wasn't hurt.Country Dale Elementary School officials responded to the scene to assist with turning the children over to their parents.PHOTO GALLERY

Three hand grenades found in donation at Franklin Goodwill

FRANKLIN -- Three hand grenades were discovered by employees in a dropped off donation at a Goodwill store in Franklin on Saturday afternoon, March 19th.According to the Franklin Police Department, the store was evacuated as a precaution and the Milwaukee Police Department's "Hazardous Devices Unit" was called to the scene to assist.After the team determined all the grenades were inoperable and posed no danger, Goodwill returned to normal operation.Franklin police said there was nothing suspicious about the incident and it does not appear there was any intent to cause harm or injury.

Developing: Body of Hayward man found in wooded area of Franklin

FRANKLIN -- Franklin police and the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office were called out to the area near S. 27th Street and College Avenue -- where a body was found on Tuesday afternoon, November 10th.The body was found in a wooded area north of the Home Depot store in the area -- and behind a mobile home court on the west side of S. 27th Street.Police say the body is identified as a 54-year-old man from Hayward.
