West Bend police: Man cuts neck in Fleet Farm parking lot after bank robbery, brief pursuit

WEST BEND -- West Bend police say a robbery suspect sustained a self-inflicted injury at a Fleet Farm store following a robbery and brief pursuit on Thursday evening, February 25th.Police say around 5:00 p.m., the man entered the "Westbury Bank" near Washington Street and Wildwood Avenue and handed a note to the teller, demanding money.An undetermined amount of money was obtained by the suspect.A witness observed the suspect run to a pickup truck that was parked across the street from the bank, and the witness then saw the suspect drive east on W.

WEST BEND -- West Bend police are seeking a white truck following a hit-and-run crash that happened on Tuesday, February 23rd.It happened shortly before 5:00 p.m. near 18th Avenue and Washington Street.Police say a white truck and blue car were involved in the hit-and-run crash.

18-year-old man hit by vehicle and killed while filling car with gas near West Bend

WEST BEND -- Washington County Sheriff's officials say an 18-year-old man was killed in a crash on Highway 45 in West Bend on Monday afternoon, February 15th.It happened on Highway 45 near Chestnut Street, near West Bend around 12:30 p.m.Sheriff's officials say the 18-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.The operator of a northbound vehicle believed to have struck the 18-year-old man, a 34-year-old Palmyra man, wasn't hurt.

Ohio woman assaults husband with mini baseball bat because he didn't buy her a V-Day gift

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ohio -- An Ohio woman assaulted her husband during an argument because he did not buy her a Valentine's Day gift, deputies told WTAP.Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to a home just outside Parkersburg, West Virginia around 11:00 a.m. Sunday, February 14th and found a man with several injuries.The man told deputies his wife, 46-year-old Kimberly Hammond had been drinking and began to hit and scratch his face during a verbal altercation.

"No skid marks:" Man arrested after crashing truck into Richfield pharmacy

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- A 24-year-old Richfield man was arrested early Friday morning, January 29th after he crashed his vehicle into an  Aurora Health Care Pharmacy in Washington County.According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to the 3100 block of Kettle Moraine Parkway in the Village of Richfield around 4 a.m. for a suspicious male subject yelling for help and trying to gain access to an unoccupied neighboring residence.Shortly after their arrival, deputies located a 24-year-old Richfield man in the area.

13-year-old girl taken to the hospital via Flight for Life after accident at Sunburst Ski Area

KEWASKUM -- A 13-year-old girl had to be taken to the hospital via Flight for Life after an accident at Sunburst Ski Area on Tuesday evening, January 12th.It happened shortly before 6:30 p.m.Washington County Sheriff's officials say Life Star ambulance was on scene rendering medical attention to the patient and requested assistance in setting up a landing zone for Flight for Life.Officials with the Kewaskum Fire Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted in setting up the landing zone in the north parking lot of the ski area.The 13-year-old girl was skiing with a local middle school ski club.She was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

37-year-old West Bend man arrested for 8th OWI

WEST BEND -- A 37-year-old West Bend man was arrested for his 8th OWI on Monday, December 21st.According to West Bend police, an employee from Glacier Hills Credit Union called police around 2:45 p.m. after observing a man drive onto the lot and look like he was sleeping in a running vehicle.When an officer arrived on scene, he observed the 37-year-old male driver from West Bend was intoxicated.The officer arrested the man for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

West Bend man's vehicle stolen after he was involved in minor traffic incident with suspects

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- Washington County Sheriff's officials say a man's vehicle was stolen after he was involved in a minor traffic accident with the suspects.It happened on Wednesday, December 16th just before 7:30 p.m. in the Town of Polk.The victim, a 62-year-old Town of West Bend man, was northbound on Highway 144 and stopped in traffic, waiting to proceed northbound on the I-41 on-ramp.While waiting for oncoming southbound traffic on Highway 144, the victim was rear-ended by a dark colored pick-up truck.As the victim exited his vehicle to assess the damage, one of the occupants of the pick-up truck entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene northbound on Highway 144.Simultaneously, the operator of the dark colored pick-up also fled the scene and proceeded southbound on Highway 144.The suspect that took the victim’s vehicle was described as a white male in his 20s, standing 5’8 to 5’10 tall with a thin build.

Germantown police to increase presence at Kennedy Middle School after "vague message" found

GERMANTOWN -- There will be an increased police presence at Kennedy Middle School in Germantown Wednesday, December 16th after a "vague message" was found in the school.On Tuesday evening, December 15th the Germantown School District and the Germantown Police Department received notification that a Kennedy Middle School student observed a "very vague message" in the school.
