MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Austin Watson scored the game-winning goal with 2:02 left in overtime to lead the Admirals to a wild 6-5 OT win over the Rochester Americans Sunday afternoon, February 8th at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.The Admirals won for the third time in three night and extended their Midwest Division lead to four points.Watson's goal started when he took a pass in the Amerks zone from Taylor Aronson.

Admirals beat Rockford; Wave whip Wichita, lose Vorberg

Rockford, Ill., Wichita, Kansas,The 1st place Admirals held off the IceHogs in Rockford, 7-5; Viktor Stalberg scored 3 goals.The Wave won a 14-12 thriller at Wichita, but may have lost goalkeeper/assistant coach Nick Vorberg for the season to a hamstring injury.

Admirals top IceHogs with 4-1 victory at the BMO Harris Bradley Center

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Predators' first round draft pick Kevin Fiala scored his first two North American goals to help lead the Admirals to a 4-1 victory over the Rockford IceHogs Friday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.The Admirals moved the Admirals into first place in the Midwest Division, with 58 points, which is the same as Rockford but the Ads get the tiebreaker because they have played fewer games.Marek Mazanec won for the sixth straight game, only allowing one goal of the 24 shots that he faced.There was only 2:08 left in the first period when Rockford's Cody Bass was able to slip past the last Admirals defense and backhand a shot over Mazanec's glove to open the scoring.Milwaukee leveled the score with 4:16 gone in the second period when the Admirals Mark Van Guilder found Fiala on the Rockford blue line on a beautiful outlet pass.

Milwaukee Admirals fall to Monsters in shoot-out

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Lake Erie Monsters' Joey Hishon scored the game winning goal in the final round of the shootout getting a deflection off the glove of Magnus Hellberg to beat the Admirals 3-2 Tuesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.There were no goals scored in the first period, but there were some great saves made by both Hellberg for the Admirals and Calvin Pickard for the Monsters.

Admirals winning streak ends with 3-0 loss to Griffins

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Admirals saw their franchise record nine-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of the Grand Rapids Griffins as they dropped a 3-0 decision to the Griffs Friday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.Grand Rapids goalie Jared Coreau stopped all 28 Admirals' shots for his second straight shutout.The Griffins got on the board at 10:07 of the first period as a result of a 2-on-1 where Mitch Callahan got a nice pass from Temmu Pulkinen in the slot and was able to fire it past Ads goalie Magnus Hellberg.The Griffins extended their lead to 2-0 with just 2:28 left in the period as Anthony Mantha fed Nathan Paetsch who fired a shot from the blue line which was initially saved by Hellberg, but Landon Ferraro found the rebound and had an open net for his 19th goal of the season.

UTICA, N.Y. -- Milwaukee Admirals All-Star Brendan Leipsic scored 3 goals as the West beat the East, 14-12 in the American Hockey league All-Star game in Utica, New York on Monday night.Leipsic became the first Admirals player to score a hat trick in an AHL All-Star game.

Admirals set team records with 9th straight victory

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Austin Watson's goal with 6:23 left in the game broke a 3-3 tie and gave the Admirals a 4-3 win over the Iowa Wild on Friday night to set a new team record with nine consecutive wins in front of a season-high crowd of 11,522 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.The old mark of eight wins had stood since March of 1989 when the Ads were still in the IHL.Watson's goal came when he and Rich Clune skated into the Iowa zone 2-on-1.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Marek Mazanec stopped all 21 shots he saw in relief duty and 3 of 5 Utica shooters to help the Admirals to a team record tying eighth consecutive victory in a 3-2 shoot-out win over the Comets on Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.The only other time in team history the team has won eight in a row was March of 1989 and they have never done it since joining the AHL in 2001.Mazanec, who was assigned from Nashville earlier in the day, won for the fourth consecutive game.Utica went up 1-0 just 37 seconds into the game on a wrister by Darren Archibald from the right dot.

Admirals rally past Rockford, 4-1

Milwaukee --    Triston Grant scored 2 goals,  and the Admirals rallied past the Rockford IceHogs 4-2 Thursday night in the BMO Harris Bradley Center.The visitors took a 2-0 lead before the host came roaring back.The win was the first time since November 21st and 22nd that Milwaukee has won back to back games.

Admirals goalie Magnus Hellberg selected to participate in 2015 AHL All-Star Classic

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The American Hockey League has announced Admirals goalie Magnus Hellberg has been selected to participate in the 2015 AHL All-Star Classic, presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino, on January 25th and 26th in Utica, NY.Hellberg is currently second among AHL netminders with a 1.89 goals against average to go along with a 7-4-2 record, a .928 save percentage and one shutout.

American Hockey League suspends Admirals left wing Michael Liambas

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The American Hockey League has announced that Milwaukee Admirals left wing Michael Liambas has been suspended for three games as a consequence of a match penalty for an illegal check to the head of an opponent, assessed in a game at Grand Rapids on January 2nd.Liambas has already served one game of the suspension.

Admirals snap seven-game losing streak with 4-1 victory over Bulldogs

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Brendan Leipsic tallied three assists, while Viktor Arvidsson added a goal and an assist as the Admirals snapped a seven-game home losing streak with a 4-1 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs on Saturday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.Milwaukee hadn't won a home game since November 26th and hadn't scored on the power-play at home since November 21.However, Joe Pendenza snapped that 0-for-32 power-play slump when he put the Ads up 1-0 at 14:06 of the first period.
