Admirals top Bulldogs at home, 4-2

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Charles Roussel's first goal of the season broke a 2-2 third period tie and propelled the Milwaukee Admirals to a 4-2 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.Four different Admirals found the back of the net for the Ads, while Marek Mazanec stopped 28 shots to earn his ninth win of the season.The Bulldogs got on the board first when defenseman Greg Pateryn fired a slapper from the high slot that beat Mazanec high to the glove side at 4:24 of the opening period.Just over five minutes later Milwaukee tied the game up on Mark Van Guilder's ninth tally of the season.

Admirals welcome UW Badgers Band on Saturday night

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- After a road game in Iowa on Friday, January 31st, the Admirals return home to take on the Grand Rapids Griffins Saturday night, February 1st at 7:00 pm at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.The University of Wisconsin Badgers Band will make their annual trip to the Ads game, courtesy of Reinhart Partners.

Admirals fall to IceHogs 4-3 in OT

MILWAUKEE (WITI)  -- The Milwaukee Admirals fell to the Rockford Ice Hogs in 4-3 in overtime on Sunday afternoon, January 26th at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.Back to back goals by Rockford's Jeremy Morin in the 3rd period erased a two-goal Milwaukee lead and helped send the game into overtime where the IceHogs won it with just 20.2 seconds to play in OT on a goal by Adam Clendening.The Admirals got on the board first when Vinny Saponari found the back of the net for his seventh goal of the season.

Admirals score three power-play goals in win over Marlies

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Admirals posted three power-play goals, including two from Miikka Salomaki, as they snapped a three-game losing streak in a 3-2 win over the Toronto Marlies on Tuesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.The Ads peppered the Marlies with 46 shots on goal, setting a new season-high, while Milwaukee netminder got back to his winning was by stopping 21 of 23 shots.Salomaki got the Ads on the board at 8:26 of the first period with his ninth goal of the year.

Milwaukee Admirals sign goalie Hannu Toivonen to PTO

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Admirals announced Wednesday, January 15th that they have signed goaltender Hannu Toivonen to a professional tryout contract (PTO).Toivonen was selected 29th overall by the Boston Bruins in the first round of the 2002 NHL draft.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Admirals held off a late comeback effort by the Lake Erie Monsters and won 6-5 Sunday afternoon at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.Filip Forsberg had two goals and two assists and Taylor Beck posted a goal and an assist to lead the Admirals to their first victory over the Monsters since March 16, 2012, a span of six games.The Admirals first goal came when they got their second power play opportunity of the game after a high-sticking penalty was called on Karl Stollery at the 11:22 mark of the first period.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Admirals announced Tuesday, December 17th that they have recalled forward Josh Shalla from the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL.Shalla had a goal and a +2 rating in three games with Cincinnati last week.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A proposed strip club could be just feet from the BMO Harris Bradley Center -- but the Milwaukee Bucks, Admirals and Marquette University are opposed to the plan.Silk Exotic wants to move in to the former Centercourt Pub and Grille.Last week, the Milwaukee Business Journal reported the leaders of the BMO Harris Bradley Center sent a letter to the city, saying a strip club across from the center would “adversely affect” families who use the arena."We want to make sure that people do find this to be a welcoming location," Jon Greenberg, president of the Milwaukee Admirals said.The tenants of the BMO Harris Bradley Center say the atmosphere could change if a strip club moves into the space."It`s just not a great introduction -- especially if it`s your first time coming here," Greenberg said.Silk Exotic owners are seeking a tavern and public entertainment license in the close to 9,000 square foot space."They think Milwaukee's downtown can use a high-end gentleman's club.

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A slow start turned into a bad ending for the Milwaukee Admirals as they dropped a 4-3 decision to the Chicago Wolves in Amtrak Rivalry action on Friay night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.Milwaukee trailed 3-1 after the first period and spent the rest of the game trying to work their way back in it, before eventually succumbing to the Wolves for the second time this year.Chicago jumped on the Adsin the first period, getting out to a 2-0 lead.
