Fire destroys vacant home in Town of Saukville; cause under investigation

OZAUKEE COUNTY -- Firefighters responded to the scene of a fire in the Town of Saukville early Tuesday morning, August 25th.It happened just before 4 a.m. in a vacant farmhouse.Officials say the home has been vacant for ten years and was used Monday, August 24th by the Newburg Fire Department for training purposes.The home was scheduled to be burned down later this fall.The cause of the fire is unknown, however, officials say it does not appear to be suspicious.

Crews called out to scene of two-vehicle crash on I-43 near Highway 33 near Saukville

SAUKVILLE -- Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials were called out to the scene of a two-vehicle crash that occurred on I-43 near Highway 33 near Saukville on Wednesday, June 24th.The crash was called in around 4:00 p.m.We're told this wasn't a serious incident -- and involved one vehicle rear-ending the other vehicle.One person was taken to the hospital, but it is believed that was simply as a precaution.It is not believed the other person involved in this crash was injured.

FREDONIA (WITI) -- Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials are seeking the suspect responsible for a burglary that occurred at Fredonia Automotive on County Highway H in the Town of Fredonia on Monday, March 30th.Sheriff's officials say video surveillance from Big Joe’s Gas Station, which is just next door, captured a suspicious person driving around and walking up to the gas station.Investigators believe the vehicle he was driving is similar to a 2001-2002 Honda Civic, green in color with a sun roof on top.The white male was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and navy blue nylon sweat pants with a light blue stripe down at the ankle.

We could learn more as soon as Monday on 70-year-old woman found dead in Grafton

GRAFTON (WITI) -- We could learn more as soon as Monday, March 2nd regarding a death investigation in Grafton.The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office says a 70-year-old woman was found dead on Friday afternoon, February 27th.The Sheriff's Office isn't saying how the woman died, but says there is no risk to the public.Monitor FOX6 News and FOX6Now.com for updates on this story.
