DRUG BUST: DEA, Ozaukee Co. Sheriff's officials, Mequon PD execute search & arrest warrant in Mequon

MEQUON (WITI) -- A drug bust occurred early Wednesday morning, January 14th in Mequon, and we're told more than one person was arrested.The DEA, with assistance from the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office's Metro Special Response Team and the Mequon Police Department executed the search and arrest warrant at a farmhouse being rented as a single-family home on Port Washington Road -- between Bonniewell Road and Pioneer Road around 6:00 a.m.Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials say more than one person was arrested, and "several" vehicles and a tow truck were removed from the property.An Ozaukee County Sheriff's sergeant tells FOX6 News he believes heroin, cocaine, marijuana and firearms were seized from the home.We're told a major concern as law enforcement officials headed to the home were "guard dogs" inside the home -- but no one was injured.No further details have yet been released -- including exactly how many people were taken into custody, and exactly what was seized from the home.Monitor FOX6 News and FOX6Now.com for updates.

Pursuit on I-43 with speeds reaching 90 miles-per-hour ends near Cedar Grove

OZAUKEE/SHEBOYGAN COUNTIES (WITI) -- A driver is in custody after a pursuit ended near Cedar Grove on New Year's Eve, Wednesday, December 31st.Sheboygan County Sheriff's officials say the pursuit began in the northbound lanes of I-43 in Ozaukee County around 8:30 p.m.We're told a vehicle with a lone driver fled after Ozaukee County Sheriff's deputies tried to stop the vehicle.

Man sought for attempting to abduct two young girls now in custody

ARRESTED: 16-year-old Cedarburg boy taken into custody in ongoing child pornography investigation

OZAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) -- Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials say a 16-year-old Cedarburg boy was arrested on Wednesday, October 15th in an ongoing investigation involving child pornography.Sheriff's officials on Wednesday executed a search warrant on a home in Cedarburg, after detectives received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children concerning child pornography at an unknown location in the Cedarburg area.Sheriff's officials were able to trace the origin of the tip to the city of Cedarburg.Evidence obtained as the search warrant was executed on Wednesday led detectives to arrest the 16-year-old boy.

BUSTED: 33-year-old Milwaukee man arrested after delivering heroin to undercover officer

OZAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) -- Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials have announced the arrest of a 33-year-old Milwaukee man for conspiracy to deliver heroin.The man was arrested on Tuesday, July 1st.Ozaukee County Sheriff's Drug Task Force members obtained arrest warrants for the man -- charging him with three counts of conspiracy to deliver heroin -- after Sheriff's officials say he delivered approximately 5.5 grams of heroin to an undercover officer on three occasions between June 17th and June 20th on Bayshore Drive in Glendale.The man was arrested in Milwaukee without incident on Tuesday.He is expected to make his initial appearance in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Wednesday afternoon.Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials say: "As a continuing effort to fight the heroin epidemic, the Ozaukee County Drug Task Force remains committed to bringing to justice any drug dealer that targets the citizens of Ozaukee County."

Two seriously injured: Motorcyclist strikes man riding lawn tractor in Grafton

GRAFTON (WITI) -- Two people are said to have been seriously injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and a lawn tractor that occurred on Monday evening, June 23rd.It happened near Pleasant Valley Road and Green Bay Road in Grafton just after 7:00 p.m.The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department tells FOX6 News a group of three motorcycles was traveling westbound on Pleasant Valley Road near Green Bay Road and came over the crest of a hill when they saw a man crossing Pleasant Valley Road on a lawn tractor.Sheriff's officials say two of the motorcyclists managed to avoid the tractor, but one could not -- striking the tractor.Both the motorcyclist and the man on the lawn tractor were injured.

Chase & crash: Man wanted for distributing heroin runs from police

RIVER HILLS (WITI) -- The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department says multiple charges are pending against a Milwaukee man arrested in River Hills on Friday morning, May 9th.The suspect was being investigated for distributing heroin -- and sheriff's deputies planned to arrest him in Mequon Friday morning.

Ozaukee Co. Sheriff seeks suspect in armed robbery

OZAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) -- Ozaukee County Sheriff's officials have released still photos in an armed robbery that occurred in the Town of Fredonia on Monday night, August 2nd.It happened at the Big Joe's Service Station at W3970 County Highway H just before 10:00 p.m.The clerk at Big Joe’s reported that a white male approximately 5’10” tall, weighing 165 pounds, 20-25 years old entered the station wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a bandanna covering his face.The suspect displayed a handgun to the clerk who provided him with cash from the cash register.The suspect fled in a dark colored four door sedan west on County Highway H from the gas station.Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating the robbery.Anyone with any information should contact the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department Detective Bureau at 262-284-7172.
