Manney use of force in Hamilton shooting ruled "justified self-defense," will not face charges

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office released a report on Monday morning, December 22nd that indicates former Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney's "use of force" in the shooting death of 31-year-old Dontre Hamilton was "justified self-defense and that defense cannot be reasonably overcome to establish a basis to charge Officer Manney with a crime."

One lane closed on I-43 SB near Keefe for an hour after semi loses tire

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee County Sheriff's officials say traffic was slowed on I-43 southbound at Keefe Avenue on Thursday evening, December 11th after a semi lost a tire.No one was injured.Sheriff's officials had to close one lane to clear the tire tread that was spread along the freeway.The incident occurred just after 6:30 p.m., and the scene was cleared just after 7:30 p.m. 

47-year-old Kenosha man arrested after pursuit that began in Waukesha ended near Miller Park

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee County Sheriff's officials took a driver into custody in the Stadium Interchange after a vehicle crashed following a pursuit that began in Waukesha County.Waukesha County Sheriff's officials say shortly after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26th, they received a reckless driving complaint from a citizen traveling eastbound on I-94 in the area of State Highway 67.Just before 2:30 p.m., the vehicle described in the complaint was located on I-94 eastbound near County Highway T, and a traffic stop was initiated.

Sheriff's Office: GPS gets semi driver stuck on foot bridge near North Point Lighthouse

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A semi-trailer truck got stuck on a foot bridge near the North Point Lighthouse on Tuesday evening, November 11th.Milwaukee County Sheriff's officials tell FOX6 News calls started coming in around 4:30 p.m.Sheriff's officials say the semi's driver is a 50-year-old man who claimed he was following GPS directions that apparently led him to a foot path, over an initial pedestrian bridge and onto a second bridge, where the semi stopped.

Police: Sheriff's squad struck by vehicle near the Milwaukee County Courthouse

Sheriff's Office: Five sex offenders arrested during "Operation Trick or Treat"
