Court approves placement of convicted sex offenders at home in Lomira

LOMIRA -- Two convicted sex offenders, moved from a home they were placed at in Brownsville, and denied the ability to move into a home in Reeseville will be moving into a home in Lomira in Dodge County.A judge on Tuesday, May 17th approved the placement of 30-year-old Jonathan Miller and 58-year-old Robert Miller at the home in Lomira.

Two men arrested as about 35 firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition seized from home

DODGE COUNTY -- Officials with the Dodge County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday morning, April 27th took two men into custody -- and recovered about 35 firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition and suspected drugs.A search warrant was executed at a home on County Road J near 7 Hill Road in Reeseville early on Wednesday morning.This search warrant was a part of a lengthy joint investigation conducted by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in regard to the purchasing and possession of firearms by individuals who have state or federal firearms disqualifiers prohibiting them from possessing a firearm.

11-year-old steals cement truck, leads police on wild chase

DODGE COUNTY, Minnesota — An 11-year-old boy was arrested for allegedly stealing a cement truck and leading authorities on a wild chase through several towns.Authorities said they attempted to pull over the juvenile suspect for speeding on Highway 14, but he then took off, according to KIMT.Dustin Johnson, a witness, recorded video of the incident that was later posted to YouTube.

Three people hurt, one seriously, after crash involving two vehicles in Dodge County

DODGE COUNTY -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials say three people were hurt, one of them seriously, after a crash involving two vehicles that happened on Tuesday night, January 26th on County Highway G, south of Hawk Road in the Township of Westford.It happened around 10:45 p.m.Sheriff's officials say a preliminary investigation has revealed a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Beaver Dam man was headed south on County Highway G near Hawk Road when it collided with a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old Beaver Dam man.The 34-year-old man suffered non life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Officials: Dodge County barn fire leads to death of livestock

DODGE COUNTY -- Firefighters in Dodge County battled a barn fire in the Town of Herman  late Saturday, January 9th.First responders arrived on the scene just after 10 p.m. and the barn was fully engulfed.Officials with the Iron Ridge Fire Department confirm there were no injuries in this fire, however, nine cows and one calf died as a result of smoke inhalation.The Iron Ridge FD is handling the origin and cause investigation.
