New Berlin woman arrested for OWI, battery to officer after pursuit through Germantown, Richfield

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- A New Berlin woman was arrested in her own driveway after allegedly leading authorities on a wild chase that began in Germantown early Thursday, August 11th.Around 12:15 a.m. Thursday, a deputy on patrol heard a Germantown police officer conducting a traffic stop in the area of Highway 167 and I-41 request a second squad to the scene.The deputy was nearby, and responded to the scene to assist.As the deputy was exciting his squad car, Washington County Sheriff's officials say the deputy saw the suspect vehicle flee the scene at a high rate of speed.The suspect vehicle was pursued for several miles through Germantown until the operator's driving became too dangerous to continue the pursuit.The suspect vehicle was later found in the Cabela's parking lot in Richfield.

31-year-old Menomonee Falls man pleads guilty after fatal hit-and-run crash in Germantown

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- A 31-year-old Menomonee Falls man has pleaded guilty in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed 50-year-old Keith Habenicht of Germantown.On August 23rd, 2015, 50-year-old Keith Habenicht of Germantown was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle southbound on Appleton Avenue north of Mequon Road.He was struck from behind and killed.On August 24th, Adam Neuhaus' attorney contacted Germantown police to make arrangements to turn over Neuhaus' vehicle, believed to be the striking vehicle in this hit-and-run.Police say Neuhaus was arrested on August 24th but he refused to make a statement and was unwilling to cooperate with the investigation.Neuhaus on Wednesday, July 20th pleaded guilty to two felony charges: Homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and hit-and-run involving injury.Neuhaus will be sentenced on September 19th.

Germantown fire officials called out to West Rock building for fire in "baler unit;" some evacuated

GERMANTOWN -- Germantown police and fire officials on Friday evening, July 8th were called out to the scene of a fire at the West Rock building on River Lane in Germantown.Crews were called out to the scene around 7:00 p.m.The fire was reported in a "Baler Room," where scrap cardboard is sent via a ductwork system throughout the facility.Upon arrival, crews found the building had been evacuated, and all employees were accounted for.Smoke was showing from the rear loading dock door.A supervisor told officials they attempted to extinguish the fire -- but it was still burning.The fire was extinguished by firefighters.The ductwork was then inspected with thermal imaging cameras to ensure no fire was remaining.One employee had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.The cause of the fire has been listed as accidental.

Bomb threats called into three schools in the Milwaukee area: "It's frustrating"

GERMANTOWN -- A wave of bomb threats forced evacuations at schools across the state of Wisconsin and the country this week, and on Wednesday, May 25th, this happened at at least three schools in the Milwaukee area.Students were evacuated from Franklin High School in Franklin,County Line Elementary School in Germantown and Bradford High School in Kenosha after threats were phoned into those schools.

GERMANTOWN -- The Germantown Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying the person in the attached photos in regards to an armed robbery at the Walgreens located on Pilgrim Road in Germantown.The robbery occurred Thursday, March 24th at approximately 9:30 a.m.According to police, the suspect went into the Walgreens and displayed a knife and a note demanding cash.The suspect was last seen running towards Francese Drive, east of Pilgrim Road and got into the driver's seat of a four-door silver Honda.Authorities describe the suspect as a white male, approximately 20 years old, 6'0" tall, 160 lbs.

Germantown police to increase presence at Kennedy Middle School after "vague message" found

GERMANTOWN -- There will be an increased police presence at Kennedy Middle School in Germantown Wednesday, December 16th after a "vague message" was found in the school.On Tuesday evening, December 15th the Germantown School District and the Germantown Police Department received notification that a Kennedy Middle School student observed a "very vague message" in the school.

UPDATE: Kenny Kodrich, missing from Germantown since December 7th, has been found

GERMANTOWN -- Germantown police say 36-year-old Kenny Kodrich, whom police were looking for after he was reported missing since December 7th has been found.Police say Kodrich disappeared under his own free will.There was concern when Kodrich didn't show up for work at a business in Germantown -- and police asked for the public's help in locating him.

Germantown police seek suspects responsible for robbery at Super 8 Motel

GERMANTOWN -- The Germantown Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred on Tuesday, October 27th at the Super 8 Motel, located at N96 W17490 County Line Road.According to police, two suspects entered the lobby around 12:05 a.m. and distracted a Super 8 employee while a third suspect jumped the counter, threatened the employee, and took an undetermined amount of cash.
